ELECTION COMMISSION OF PAKISTAN

NOTIFICATION

Islamabad, the 16th January, 2019

No. F. 1(1)/2018-Confd (1).—WHEREAS, sub-section (1) of Section 137

of the Elections Act, 2017 read with sub-rule (1) of rule 137 of the Election

Rules, 2017 thereof, provides that every Member of an Assembly and Senate

shall submit to the Commission, on or before 31st December each year, a copy of

his statement of assets and liabilities including assets and liabilities of his spouse

and dependent children as on the preceding thirtieth day of June on Form B.

WHEREAS, sub-section (3) of Section 137 ibid further provides that the

Commission shall, on the sixteenth day of January, by an order suspend the

membership of a Member of an Assembly and Senate who fails to submit the

statement of assets and liabilities by the fifteenth day of January and such

member shall cease to function till he files the statement of assets and liabilities.

NOW THEREFORE, in pursuance of sub-section (3) of Section 137 ibid and

in exercise of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, the Election Commission

is pleased to notify hereunder, for information of general public, the names of

Members of the Senate who have failed to file their statement of assets and

liabilities including assets and liabilities of their spouse and dependent children

and direct that they shall cease to function as such Members with immediate

effect till such statements are submitted by them:—

Rules, 2017 thereof, provides that every Member of an Assembly and Senate

shall submit to the Commission, on or before 31st December each year, a copy of

his statement of assets and liabilities including assets and liabilities of his spouse

No. F. 1(1)12018-Confd(6).—WHEREAS, sub-section (1) of Section 137

of the Elections Act, 2017 read with sub-rule (1) of rule 137 of the Election

Rules, 2017 thereof, provides that every Member of an Assembly and Senate

shall submit to the Commission, on or before 31st December each year, a copy of

his statement of assets and liabilities including assets and liabilities of his spouse

and dependent children as on the preceding thirtieth day of June on Form B.

WHEREAS, sub-section (3) of Section 137 ibid further provides that the

Commission shall, on the sixteenth day of January, by an order suspend the

membership of a Member of an Assembly and Senate who fails to submit the

statement of assets and liabilities by the fifteenth day of January and such

member shall cease to function till he files the statement of assets and liabilities.

NOW THEREFORE, in pursuance of sub-section (3) of Section 137 ibid and

in exercise of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, the Election Commission

is pleased to notify hereunder, for information of general public, the names of

Members of the Provincial Assembly, Balochistan who have failed to file their

statement of assets and liabilities including assets and liabilities of their spouse

and dependent children and direct that they shall cease to function as such

Members with immediate effect till such statements are submitted by them:
