These natural nylon fasteners are useful for joining plastic,

light sheet metal, insulating material, etc. May be used as

glides, bumpers, hole plugs, etc.

Head diameters and chassis thickness can be varied for a

nominal engineering charge.

May be used with nylon washers to hold flimsy materials.

(Choose an I.D. between C and D dimensions and thickness

(T) to ensure snug fit).

NOTE: Tolerance on L dimension is ±.015.

NOTE: When installing Dugouts:

1. It is desirable that the burr side of hole be opposite Dugout entry.

2. The surface condition of the hole edge has a definite bearing on the ease with

which a Dugout can be inserted and how well it will fit and hold. Indicated hole sizes are

final, i.e.: after painting, enameling, etc. For hole sizes that will provide the best

combination of easy installation and secure fit, the following can serve as a general guide:

SURFACE CONDITION *HOLE SIZE

Paint.............................................................................................Middle of indicated range

Plastic panel................................................................................Middle of indicated range

Colours: Add suffix 0101 for natural nylon 6 or suffix 0075 for black.

As well as a fastening device, moulded rivets can also be used for glides, feet,

insulators, etc.

Corrosion and vibration resistant blind fas-

tener, with a nylon drive pin that offers better

thermal and electrical qualities than metal

pins. This versatile and inexpensive rivet is

quickly installed in pre-drilled holes. Driving

the pin home with the tap of a hammer

expands and seats the fastener securely.

Typically used with signs, electrical and

plumbing fixtures, drapery and window

hardware, railings, shelves and in many

facets of trailer construction.

These one-piece blind drive rivets are permanent fasten-

ers that can be used with plastics, sheet metal, printed cir-

cuit boards, etc. Perfect for fastening when only one side of

work piece is accessible. No tools are required; the drive

pin, when forced in, expands the legs to securely lock com-

ponents in place, even under extreme vibration.

part economy and availability. Fasten a wide variety of materials,

from paperboard to plastics to metal. Easy, one-sided installation.

pins are pre-started for easier installation. Moulded from non-

conductive thermoplastic that can be colour-coordinated to

match product.

Installation: Straight sided rivet is inserted in hole. Rivet legs

are tapered on the inside and expand as drive pin is advanced,

assuring positive lock.

Rivet installation tools are available.
