NOURISH PROGRAM APPLICATION FORM - 2016

What is Nourish?OzHarvest’s Nourish Program is a pathway to employment, aimed at vulnerable youth between the ages of 16 - 25 years. OzHarvest has partnered with TAFE NSW and delivers the Nourish program with the support of volunteers, mentors and qualified industry professionals.

The first step in the program is a 6 week introduction to a hospitality course covering basic cooking skills, nutrition, food safety, kitchen hygiene communication skills and team work skills, resume writing and surviving job interviews.

How does Nourish work?The course is designed as a stepping stone for participants into the hospitality industry. After the initial 6 week course the participants are given the opportunity to continue with a Certificate II in hospitality which is a nationally recognised qualification. OzHarvest has an ever growing list of food donors and industry contacts who are willing to provide work experience and employment opportunities for Nourish participants who successfully complete the course.
