    OXY FREEWAVESA night of global media encounters in local, public space

    Friday, April 23, 7:30 10 p.m. Occidental College Main Quad

    OXY Freewaves is an exhibition of experimental and documentary films, pairing 10

    documentary works by Occidental students with 10 works by international artists from LAFreewaves (http://www.freewaves.org/ ), an organization supporting innovative, relevant,independent new media from around the world.

    Mentored by renegade media artist and LA Freewaves founder Anne Bray, the students ofOccidentals Film & Media Studies Program will transform the campus main quad into aseries of public screening venues, permitting visitors to move between 8 different themedmedia programs. Come participate in this evening of food, drink, and cutting-edge videosaddressing social issues on local and global registers.

    This event is a part of the Occidental Spring Arts Fair, which is supported by the Remsen-
