The Bueche brothers (Warren and Andrew) paced the Trojans today with low rounds of 45 at Wheatfield Golf Course in Williamston against Fowlerville and Charlotte. Andrew recorded his first birdie of the year on hole number 2. Colton Koep[linger scored a 46 and Mitchell Fisher finished the scoring for the Trojans with 48. Mitchell also recorded his first birdie of the year on hole number 3. The Trojans improved their score by 16 strokes from their previous match at Ionia. The Trojans next play Perry in a dual match at Owosso CC on Monday, April 17. SOCCER (GIRLS) – Owosso 1, Brandon 4. Despite a Strong Finish, Owosso Falls 1-4. Although we lost 1-4, tonight, Coach Tew and I were very proud of the final efforts of each half. Coming off 0-5 and 0-4 losses in which Brandon dominated the entire game, tonight showcased much more evenly matched play. With three goals given up due to careless errors, the team realized how close the game could have been. Being down by 4 goals only invigorated Owosso to set a physical attacking tone during the final 7-8 minutes of the game, in which time 3 shots were taken, with one goal scored. Midfield play was dominated by Anna Raffaelli and Taylor Porter, while the defensive line spotlighted breakout performances by Mackenzie Johnson and Lauren Stowe. The way our team kept their heads in the game until the final whistle showed their spirit, drive and potential for great things to come.
