• This presentation will explore various marketing strategies currently being utilized by CPGTSP providers as a method to welcoming Problem Gamblers as well as Affected Individuals into treatment.

– Identify marketing strategies that specifically target the Affected Individuals.
– Understanding that YOU are the key to being successful, and that networking in your communities is important.
What I Currently Do• Connect w/Prospective Clients ASAP!!
— Return phone calls or emails immediately!!
• Your Website – – It is a great tool!! – Have your website reflect who you are and list all the
services you provide, including your status as a CPGTSP provider. Highlight FREE sessions are available!
– Keywords: gambler, problem gambler, gambling services, gambling help…
What I Currently Do• Networking - The BEST Way to Reach Out– Get out of your office to meet and greet, EVERYONE!– Explain that those who love the problem gambler can also
receive support – this is key!– Personally make contact with ALL the people in your
community, people who provide a service or not:• Attorneys, Doctors, Clergy, Store clerks, Restaurant
servers, auto mechanics, hair dressers, nail salons – EVERYONE you meet!
– Peers/colleagues: We all have strengths to share!– Word of Mouth: Happy clients like to tell others!• Clients talk about how WE can help others.
Other ideas…• Attend GAM-Anon as an observer• Attend GA as an observer• Lecture at religious centers, schools,
community events… • Advertise in local papers, religious center
newsletters, hang fliers…• Go to local businesses and hand out
brochures, business cards, fliers…
