Who we are… OnlyOutdoors.ie is a specialist outdoor fitness organisation dedicated to improving the lives of people of all

ages in Ireland ensuring that they get the best incentives to get out and get enough exercise. We believe that a

real way to improve the lives of people of all ages in Ireland is to ensure that they always have sufficient

outdoor exercise. We’re dedicated to improving the lives of all by providing a little bit of motivation and focus

to ensure that this happens.

What we do… OnlyOutdoors supplies the best quality hardwearing outdoor gym products for the most challenging

environments.

We are constantly innovating our range of outdoor exercise equipment to make many improvements,

enhancing tamper-proof features, and improving usability. The fully customisable instruction boards for the

deluxe range have also been upgraded. As usual, all of our products are fully galvanised and powder-coated to

ensure the best resilience to the worst of Irish weather.

How to go about creating an outside exercise area…

In starting a project to install or create an outside exercise area that will be used consistently in a positive way,

there are certain aspects to think about.

Factors to consider…

Target Users – There are many potential users for a fitness facility, with many different needs. The actual

users, and their needs, should be considered. In most cases, our installations are for mixed-use, which means

that there should be a balance in the equipment and the types of exercise anticipated.

Space / Area – Firstly find a suitable space.

This could be a space that needs to be upgraded, and is in need of the right sort of care and attention

A space that needs a positive use, as opposed to a negative one that may be there now.

Or it could just be close to the people that need the facility the most.

Some examples of spaces where we have installed our exercise equipment include public parks,

walkways, sports grounds, disused areas in housing estates, etc.

As the sensitive character and natural appearance of parks must be upheld, OnlyOutdoors often supplies

products in a neutral green/beige colour scheme. Most often, we find that this natural colour scheme is the

best solution for Irish parks as it blends in most elegantly.

Apart from aesthetics, we also note from experience that there is a marked difference in the rates of

vandalism on items that do not seem to blend in – and colour choice is a major factor here. We certainly

believe that there is a big advantage in choosing natural colour schemes.

Configuration – How would you like the installation to be laid out? There are many options here. Our

Funding – There are many potential sources of funding for these types of projects and no shortage of people

who want to get involved, once there is a clear goal. We do keep our website updated with funding options, or

The first question: How much will it cost? The first question that people have is usually this one… Usually, the equipment is sold in sets. The rough costs

are highlighted on the next pages.

For orders of less than 4 pieces, a delivery charge applies also.

or anti-clockwise. A gentle exercise that

STANDARD PACKAGE Description

Chest Press

The Chest Presser strengthens the

chest, shoulders, biceps and triceps as

you use your body weight as resistance.



Seated Puller

Pulling the upper bar towards your

body works your back and shoulders,

while your body weight acts as the

resistance.




Double Air Walker

Exercise on the Air Walker reproduces

the running motion, but avoids the

problems runners may experience

through excessive impact on the feet

and knees. A low-impact cardiovascular

exercise that strengthens muscles in

the lower body. Enhanced with nylon

non-slip step surfaces.



Cross Trainer

A favourite with many in the gym, the

cross trainer strengthens the legs and

hips and improves cardiovascular

endurance. Enhanced with nylon non-

slip step surfaces.




Leg Press

By using your own weight for

resistance, the leg press apparatus

strengthens the hips and leg muscles.



Chin-Up Bars

Chin-Up Bars

The classic chin-up bars are a great

piece for improving upper-body

strength. Three bars means users of

different heights can work out at the

same time.




Surfboard

To build up the waist muscle group, the

surfboard enhances the body's

coordination and flexibility. Step onto

the footboard while holding the

handles and sway from side to side.

Enhanced with nylon non-slip step

surfaces.



Rower

Pull and push the handles backwards

and forwards, replicating a rowing

motion. This fun exercise activated

muscles in the upper back, lower back,

shoulders and biceps using your body

weight as resistance.




Sit-up Board

Great for abdominal strength, the sit up

board also improves the strength of

muscles of the hip and upper thigh.



Tai Chi Spinners

Promoting flexibility in the shoulders,

arms and wrists, the Tai Chi Spinners is

great for sports warm-up or as a gentle

exercise in itself. Designed to be used

by one or two people.




Single Rider

The Rider offers a fun, low impact

exercise that conditions the shoulders,

back, thighs and calves.



Triple Pull-Up

Signboards We can also provide fully customised sign boards. Although our Standard set comes with instruction boards

riveted on, sometimes additional signboards are considered useful.

Installation For a typical project, depending on the size of the project and the current order book etc we have a target

installation date (which we call “T”)

OnlyOutdoors equipment is secured to a concrete base 600mm deep. OnlyOutdoors can manage this process

if required or else full instructions are available on request.

The foundation dimensions needed are as follows:

(T - 60 Days) OnlyOutdoors recieves Purchase Order

(T - 30 Days) Foundations dug, Concrete poured, Area re-landscaped

Concrete cures

(T = 0) Equipment arrives on site and is bolted onto the foundations

(T + 1 Day) RoSPA Inspection

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE FOR DELUXE PIECES

After the concrete has cured, stand the equipment up.

Fix the equipment on the frame, by using the supplied tamper-proof screws.

After all the equipment has been fixed to the main frame, drill through the holes in the base plate and

fix the equipment on the concrete ground with the supplied anchor bolts.

Cover the base plate with the supplied black plastic base covers.


For the Standard Package, a baseplate is usually used which is set in the concrete foundation:

INSTALLATION OF STANDARD PIECES:

The baseplate is inset into the concrete, and the pieces are then bolted to it.

The baseplates are then covered with the black plastic base covers supplied.

Alternatively, anchor bolts may also be used. After the concrete has cured, stand the equipment up

on the ground. Drill through the holes in the base plates and fix the equipment on the concrete

ground with the anchor bolts supplied.
