North of Tri CountyThe generally afuent and/or college town
of Tri County lies in stark contrast with their
neighbors to the north. Lodazal is home
to some residual wealth from Tri County,
producing an anomaly of socioeconomic
status - the wealthy redneck or so
the people of Tri County would believe.Separated from each other
by a long,
winding highway through a mountain
grade, few from Tri County dared stop at
Lodazal admittedly whose most lasting
notable feature is a mental hospital but
now, they pass through in droves when
the outbreak hits Tri County and begins
to lay waste to their precious historical
town. Lodazalians greeted the refugees
with open arms, until they began to bring
with them their high-class prejudice to add
additional strain the burden of so many
refugees placed on local resources. Things
came to a head when a re broke out in
the mountain pass, effectively sealing
Lodazal from Tri County with a wall of
ame.
Some continued to ee north, further up
the state, where their fate was determined
by the road, but some stayed and fought
as a wave of undead came through the
burning grade from Tri County towards the
town of Lodazal.
This is a series of scenarios that take
place north of Tri County called Lodazal.
A character is free to accomplish multiple
objectives as described in the Outbreak:
Undead - Gamemasters Companion to
earn SP, but there are a few Objectives
that are unique to this setting that earn a
greater amount of SP.
The scenario lasts 100 Time, after which
the SP total is tallied up to determine the
result.
Characters can retreat to a Stronghold
without fear of Trailing Zombies rolls, but
a GM is free to spend Risk on any otherHazards they feel
appropriate. The various
facilities of Lodazal have the following
Stronghold prole:

Lodazal Objectives
Hold the Pass
Characters must venture dangerously
close to the encroaching ames to meet
the undead with guns blazing in orderto buy more time and
options for the
refugees of Lodazal. Characters must
survive 10 Encounters where En Fuego
are the Standard opponents, and must
venture to the edge of town, so no other
missions can be attempted.

Drain the Depot
Lodazal is a fairly remote town, as a
result they often keep fuel handy for when
roads are blocked by natural disasters.
Located close to the outskirts of town, this
fuel depot is one of the rst major threatsto the blaze. Left
unchecked, this ticking
time bomb could be a major issue for the
surrounding shops and townsfolk, not to
mention fueling the blazes growth to an
unbelievable size. Players must travel to
the depot using a scout mission and then
nd the resulting controls that will empty
the tanks into a reservoir outside of town.
Considering the proximity to the ames.
Plenty of En Fuego could potentially be
there already.
Primary: 75 SP
Smokey Road to FreedomA few homes on the mountain r idge are
isolated from Lodazal by the ames. The
characters can make their way towards
the ridge to lead them down towards
Lodazal. Attempt a Search and Rescue
mission without the use of vehicles
over Size 2, as the would not be able to
navigate the smoke choked and burning
roads.
Primary: 200 SP
Firebreak
Characters must make a rebreak by
selectively burning areas that wouldnormally be consumed by the
re and
cause it to grow and spread faster. This
requires Fuel (which can be gathered
as a separate mission as described in
the Gamemasters Companion) and will
require a check with a percentage chance
of success equal to 30% +1 per Fuel
used. Fireghter characters can increase
the chance of success by having a base
40% instead of a base 30%.
Catastrophe - The re rages out of
control and the characters lose a day in
the campaign. This takes 10d6 Time to
accomplish.

Animal Rescue
Lodazal has a modest zoo, where someexotic animals can be found.
Most peop
would abandon them, but a few of the
handlers there desperately need to
transport the animals far away from the
approaching re. The characters must g
to the zoo and help the employees there
gather animals, but unless a character
has any Animal Handler skills (as
described in Outbreak: Wild Kingdom),
the characters will likely not be trusted
with the more dangerous, large animals
(the largest of which is a tiger), but
bringing a horse trailer from a nearby
ranch would allow the large animals to b
transported by the professionals.

New Opponent
En Fuego
Same as Grotesque from Outbreak:
Undead Core Rulebook, but they will
inict 1d6 extra damage when Grappling
due to their bodies being covered in
ames.
