Special Thanks from Pastor Cheryl… So many thanks for a great year! I am extremely grateful for the wonderful team of adult mentors who work with our kids. We have 13 pre-school and elementary school leaders who commit to serving our kids through storytelling and prayerful leadership twice each month. And an additional 5 leaders commit once each month. Our toddlers are cared for by 13 leaders. That is a total of 31 adult leaders to serve our 58 kids! Highlights this year include one of our early elementary boys doing a series of “Jonah” art work in various mediums, our young pre-schoolers sharing their favorite stories in their own words using materials from the shelves and our older kids working together to illustrate the 12 biblical Stations of the Cross. Many of our victories are small and private - one of our youngest has made great progress in joining the circle of children. And two of our early elementary children have finally settled into a pattern of regular meaningful work. We have welcomed visitors, celebrated sports victories, commiserated over losses and exclaimed over lost teeth. We have prayed together for family and friends and learned together about needs and service opportunities around the world. Thank you so very much to each adult leader who serves and nurtures the faith of our children. May you know deep joy as you hear Jesus say to you …”well done, good and faithful servant”.
