The Roger E. Alberty, M.D. Surgical Center occupies the entire first floor of the 33,000 square foot Alberty Surgical Center building and is adjacent to our Tigard location.

This two story building features four operating rooms, two procedure rooms, a spacious lobby, easy navigation, open and comfortable waiting areas with pleasant outdoor views, and an enclosed healing garden, in the spirit of The Portland Clinic’s commitment to a positive patient experience. Both patients and the environment benefit from a careful selection of materials, high efficiency mechanical systems, low-emission glazing and on-site storm water management.

The Downtown Surgical Center is located in the lower level of our downtown Portland location. Opened in 1984, it has a long-standing and excellent reputation for offering patients a variety of highly accredited surgical procedures. The Portland Clinic has a strong commitment to safe and effective patient care. Many surgical procedures do not require an overnight stay in the hospital, and can safely be performed in an ambulatory setting. This decreases the cost of surgery for patients, and increases both efficiency and comfort.

Our professional staff is shared by both surgical facilities, ensuring that consistent and quality care is maintained. The surgical centers participate with the Oregon Patient Safety Commission. The Alberty Surgical Center and the Downtown Surgery Center is accredited by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgical Facilities.
