All of us will be adjus ng to some changes and they may cause inconveniences to individuals, so that’s why I am asking for your kind understanding, pa ence and support for our health and safety. Our church and school employees cleaned and sani zed our church, pews, and bathrooms. We purchased hand sani zers which you can find as soon as you enter through the main door. Please take note of the following:

2. Floors are marked for Communion to observe social distancing.
3. Some pews will be taped for distancing, but family members can sit together.
4. No distribu on of Precious Blood during Communion me.

7. No hymnals in the church for the me being; the projector system will be used.
8. No bulle ns in the church but you can visit our website to read our weekly bulle ns.

Solemnity of the Lord's Ascension We completed forty days a er the Resurrec on and this Sunday we are celebra ng the Solemnity of the Lord’s Ascension, Christ’s exalta on to the right hand of the Father. This event means Jesus went to the place where the Father prepared for Him. Jesus receives the Glory and Honor being the Son of God who is God Himself, and through His death and resurrec on conquered sin and saved the world. He deserves to be at His Father’s right hand because of His obedience to the Father’s will. The Lord’s Ascension clarifies the meaning of His sacrifice; Jesus had to ascend to the Father to present himself as a sacrifice for the salva on of the world. Yes, it involved suffering and death which is an act of offering. Thus, sacrifice and gi have a shared meaning. This is not the end of the ministry of Jesus; the apostles and believers and would-be followers must con nue His work. His desire to let the Gospel be known by all and that mission to preach and evangelize has just started. He entrusted His Mission to His apostles and to us bap zed Chris ans. Yes, we may not have Jesus in our midst physically, but we need to remember as He promised, “I will be with you ll the end of
me,” but evangeliza on must go on! It is now our me to con nue what Jesus has started. What a great privilege it is to be co-workers of Jesus in His vineyard. This means that He showed a tremendous trust to His apostles and to us, His followers, to fulfill the mission to proclaim Him to one another. Ascension is the “passing of the torch” to pass on the gospel of salva on, His words, His marvelous deeds, and His great love! How can we effec vely pass on the torch? We can do it even in our li le ways; we too can become evangelizers. We should remember that the Lord works with us and we all need to take the challenge - Do we take the heavenly life as our goal? Do we desire for Peace and Joy that will last without end? Are we ready to give powerful witness and tes mony about Christ? Are we willing to take His path, His way of life that will bring us to ETERNITY as He promised? Heaven is REAL! Jesus wants us to go with Him, to share life without end, to share His endless glory. We do not belong to this world permanently; we are all pilgrims! Christ’s Ascension reminds us, “May we follow where He has led and find our Hope in His Glory!” Remember, we are all called and sent by the Lord. We are His chosen people, each one is given responsibility to preach, to sanc fy, to lead, and to serve. Let us humbly preach and share Jesus by word and example! May we con nue to trust in the Lord’s words and be secure in His loving protec on! See you all next weekend and please visit our Church website to watch the Bishop giving us guidelines regarding “changes” in the celebra on of the Eucharist, and bear with us, we all need to do our share to provide a safe environment for our Church community. Stay safe everyone and God Bless! Fr. Val P. DeVera Pastor
