ENDOWMENT AND BOARD RESERVE FUNDS Over the years, donors have sought to provide for the long-term fiscal stability of American Rivers. Gifts are invested, and only a portion of the annual earnings funds expenses.

THE GENERAL ENDOWMENT This fund provides perpetual support for American Rivers’ programs and initiatives. THE WILLIAM S. BROADBENT FAMILY CONSERVATION FUND A permanently endowed fund within the general endowment for the purpose of supporting general operations.

THE BOARD RESERVE FUND This fund provides unrestricted net assets for a defined purpose, as determined by the Board of Directors.
