Sacraments: Baptism: Contact the parish office. Baptisms are the third Saturday of the month at 5:00 pm Mass. Reconciliation: Saturday 4:15 p.m. or by appointment. Marriage: Contact Father Paul 6 months in advance of the planned wedding date. Anointing of the sick: If you or a family member are admitted to a hospital or other care facility and you wish to have a priest visit, please be sure to have someone call the parish office to make this request.

Unless You build the house, we labor in vain to build it. Through the intercession of Mary, Mother of God, St. Joseph the Builder, bring to perfection the good work You have begun in us. Diocesan Medal Presentation July 9, 2017. On the occasion of the Cathedral’s 125th Anniversary year, it is Bishop Gary Gordon’s desire to honour various individuals from throughout the diocese for service to the local and / or dioc-esan church, the community and the world. The following individuals have been nominated by their parish communi-ty or the diocese and will receive a Diocesan Medal on July 9th at the 11 am Mass at the Cathedral. All Diocesan Parishioners are Invited! To the grounds of St. Ann’ Academy on Sunday July 9th from 12:30 – 4 pm to celebrate the Cathedral’s 125th Anniversary. Live music (9 piece Jazz band with a Latin Flare and Coast-line Fiddlers and for the children two bouncy castles along with a clown and balloon figures. Ice Cream truck with sundaes, cones and novelties for purchase at regular prices. Bring your own food or purchase at nominal cost KC burgers and hotdogs or Filipino bbq pig and noo-dles. We are still attempting to bring a food truck on site. Bring your own chair if you wish although there will be tents and chairs on site. In addition to all of the above there will be an opportunity to tour the Chapel (our first Cathedral) and to view a display on Archbishop Seghers. Come for an hour or two and meet friends and make new friends as we celebrate this event to mark the Cathedral’s 125th anniversary.

Bequests and Wills. In your kindness, please remember Our Lady of the Rosary Parish in your bequests and wills. If any-one wishes to make such a bequest in their will, the follow-ing clause may be included or added to a will or added by codicil: “I give, devise and bequeath the sum of $... to Our Lady of the Rosary in Victoria, BC, to be used for the bene-fit of the parish and its pastoral activities.”

PAD Donations. If you are interested in making your donations to our Parish through a Pre-Authorized Debit Program, please take an envelope with all the information needed. These envelopes are on the table at the entrance of the Church.
Bottle Drive. We are still collecting refundable bottles and cans. All proceeds go to our refugee family fund. During of-fice hours please come and get the key to the garage where you can drop your refundable; or just ask Fr. Paul for the key after mass. Thank you
Our New Church - Making Your Donation Really Counts. Once we are clear as to how much money we will need to raise to make our new church a reality, our fund raising will begin. Please think about the information below. Similar to how the Canadian and BC governments help us to increase our regular giving, they will again partner with you to help provide these funds. Here’s how: $100 donation - your cost will be $56; $500 donation - your cost will be $280; $1,000 donation - your cost will be $ 560.
Please write down your name and address on every enve-lope for your donations. We are in the process of changing our donation’s software and your personal information would help us to do an accurate job for your tax deduction receipts. Thank you.
Please Update Your Information. If you have moved, have a new member in your family, change your email or phone number, please let us know. You may email the parish office or fill out one the registration forms printed in paper colour pink that are at the entrance of the church and drop it in the collection basket.

Funeral Mass for the Happy Repose of the Soul of Mike Alford will be on Saturday July 15th at 1:30 pm at the Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Langford. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

News from Development and Peace. Our God is full of compassion, promises to lift up those who are bowed down. Lead us to understand not our own actions, dwelling within our own imperfect mind and flesh, but to call in trust and uni-ty of spirit upon Jesus Christ. Bursaries for youth in the Diocese of Victoria There are several bursaries availa-ble to youth in the Diocese of Victoria: Jawl & Bundon Bursary ($2,500 for gradu-ating Catholic student in the Diocese of Victoria, deadline July 15); Holy Cross Bursaries (Various at UVic and Camosun); Bishop Thomas J.
