Founded in 2004, the Knights of Columbus Mt. CarmelCouncil is
dedicated to fulfilling the tenets of CatholicFaith set forth by
the Founder of the Knights of Columnbus. The Venerable Father
Michael Joseph MCGivney.
The Mt. Carmel Council, Knights of columbus, is com-mitted to
supporting the goals of Our Lady of Mt. CarmelParish at Our Lady of
Loreto Church and stands ready toassist Msgr. Pedone, Deacon
Audette and Deacon MontiHverdi in whatever matters of Christian
importance whichmay arise.
Specifically, the Mt. Carmel Council provides avenues
ofopportunities for Catholic men to serve our Parish and
ourWorcester Catholic Diocese. We promote the Parmers inCharity
Campaign as well as hold events and fundraisersfor the children of
the Nazareth Home for Boys, ProblemPregnancy and Visitation House.
The Council assists theWorcester Diocese in support of its
seminarians, assist atseminarian masses and receptions. In serving
our commu-nity we provide meals and opportunity to serve at
theMustard Seed and Dismas House Support Centers. Hold-ing "Drive
Up, Drop Off" food drives to replenish ourParish Food Pantry.
Christian Fellowship and Prayergroups are held periodically among
our members. Aboveall, supporting our Priests and Deacons at our
Parish in allmatters necessary is of primary importance to our
Council.

The Monks of Saint Benedict Abbey, Still River, MAare excited to

initiated our First AnnualSaint Benedict Institute, a week-long
intensive studyprogram for men pursuing undergraduate or gradu-ate
studies. It will take place August 19-25 at SaintBenedict Abbey,
