PARISH MISSION:
Our Lady of Fatima and Immaculate Conception Parish is a Catholic faith community called by God to holiness. Our calling is realized in a spirit of love, unity and hospitality. As a faith community we will deepen our knowledge and love of God in Christ. We will seek to contribute our time, talent and other resources in a spirit of service, based on our Baptismal commitment, founded on the Word of God and celebrated in sacramental life, especially Eucharist.

THE VENTURES OF FAITH: ST. JOHN HENRY NEWMAN
Following Christ can entail fear, risk, and uncertainty. But as St. John Henry Newman boldly preaches, this reality reveals how crucially important and worthwhile it is to undertake such a venture. “No one among us knows for certain that he himself will persevere; yet every one among us, to give himself even chance of success at all, must make a venture...and in this consists the excellence and nobleness of faith.” This CD and others are available for $4 at the entrance of OLF Church.

O Come, Thou Dayspring From On High
The day of celebration is nearly here. The sixth verse of O Come, O Come Emmanuel is the O Antiphon proper to December 21 the day of the winter solstice. For the next six months the days grow longer, warming the earth and bringing on a new springtime. More than a pleasant thought to sustain us until spring finally arrives, we sing today in praise of the “One Morning Star” that never sets, The “Sun of Justice” who is the Son of God, the “New Dawn” that dispels the clouds and shadows of death. The day of celebration has already come. And in these final days of Advent we sing the final verse, “O Come, Desire of all the nations,” and end our Advent hymn as we had begun, O Come our Emmanuel, be with us always!
