Today, the small spring yields about 2,000 gallons of water a day with many reports of miraculous healings. Her claims were subject to an official investigation from 1935 to 1937 by an episcopal commission. The evidence collected was submitted to Rome for further analysis. In May 1942 Bishop Kerkhofs of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Liège (Belgium) gave a first recogniton of the authenticity of the facts. Then, in 1947, approval for the apparitions came from the Holy See. It was declared definite in 1949.

After the apparitions, Beco decided to remain a private person, married and had a quiet family life. A small chapel stands where the Virgin of the Poor requested it to be built.

Mariette Beco died 2 December 2011 at the age of 90. In 2008 she made a final statement about her role in the apparitions: "I was no more than a postman who delivers the mail. Once this has been done, the postman is of no importance any more".

'Our Lady of Banneux' is the sobriquet given to the apparition of the Virgin Mary to Mariette Beco, an adolescent girl living in Banneux, province of Liège(Belgium). Between January 15 and March 2, 1933, Mlle Beco told her family and parish priest of seeing a Lady in white who declared herself to be the 'Virgin of the Poor', saying I come to relieve suffering and believe in me and I will believe in you. In one of these visions, Mariette said the Lady asked her to drink from a small spring, telling her the spring was for healing and "for all nations". Over time the site drew pilgrims.

Our Lady of Banneux’s magic has truly touch different religious organization, non-sectarian groups, civic groups, private companies, provincial and local government units and even private individuals, just willing to share their hard earned money to bring the dream of uplifting the lives of the poor not only through shelter but bring each one of them more closer to God through faith. Since it was in the early stages of planning this project was a miracle at work with everyone contributing their own sweat equity to make things happen and work for the better, over coming trails and problems, truly when we work for our Mother Mary nothing is impossible and things will always fall into place. From initial site development and initial ground breaking with Bro Nap Curameng leading the way and Kathleen B. Schenning as our pilot community, we have gone a long way since then, we now have another 3 Ancop USA Site all lined up to be built, a Multi-Purpose Center/Educational Center to be ground broken on November 11, 2012 and the pride of OLB, our own Shrine of Our Lady of Banneux, San Mateo, Rizal, Philippines with a replica of the original image to be sent by the Parish Priest of OLB Belgium upon the completion of the Philippine Shrine.

Our Lady of Banneux Ancop Communities', located at San Mateo, Rizal is a great testimony on how Our Mother have touched the lives of the capable and awaken their awareness to open their hearts and arms to the least fortunate of our brethren's. CFC Global Mission Foundation, Inc. through CFC Ancop-Tekton Foundation, Inc. as its social arm to aid the poor, envisioning to uplift their lives through shelter, education, health, livelihood and more so changing their lives through faith. The vision of this ministry is to bring Christ transforming love to the poor and its mission to ANSWER THE CRY OF THE POOR.

Bro Joe Yamomoto, introduced to many of us the awareness of Our Lady of Banneux and on how she can truly make a difference in the lives of poor and with our community. As of to date Bro Joe again has given us good news regarding our commitment to our dear Mother of the Poor, during his recent trip to Belgium and a short meeting with the parish priest of the shrine, we again our blessed and given the prestige of building a grotto for her Lady inside the premises of the shrine. With CFC West B taking care of building the structures and CFC East B handling the values formation and CLP for our new beneficiaries the merging of resources and faith will surely help build a solid foundation for everyone.

Let’s remember one’s true success in life is not on the recognition and measure of one’s achievements they accumulate in their lifetime but rather what they have done for the good of the many. We salute those who worked hard to make OLB a reality, the shoulders that supports us in facing head on any problems thrown our way, the happiness we see in each one’s faces leaves a mark even after we get home tired and dirty, doing a hard days work at the site but still very much filled with joy and satisfaction when we reflect on what we have done for them and finally the faith we have planted in their hearts that to love others without expecting anything in return is the true meaning of selfless love. God’s Glory is for God alone, Let no man take credit for what is for God and God alone. So tell me who needs recognition and fame, when all we need is God Alone. I’m driven by the joy I feel when I’m there serving Him and His people.

Our Lady of Banneux brings out the best in each one of us, so let’s love it for what it’s truly worth. Love for Love and Faith for Faith equals True Joy and Happiness for all. Bridging the boundaries of the poor and the capable with God as the Head Builder and Molder.

BRO BOB PENALOSA’S MESSAGE

We have been blessed by God with a beautiful weather today. Like in Father Pat’s homily , he explained that we should give hope to the hopeless. Our Lady of Banneux is very close to the heart of Tito Joe Yamamoto, since he was also the one who introduced Our Lady to our sector. Many informed us that a lot of stakeholders would like to be part of this community and the other projects CFC would like to implement in this site , well we all know that is all because of our Mother Mary blessings.

This project will keep on going because its truly blessed by our Mother’s presence and with everyone working and loving one another this will last for a long time. We would like to ask more prayers from everyone, the work God wants us to do , through our stakeholders will surely be a lot due to his never ending blessings for this community.Lets all work as one and look at the end of the tunnel we are traversing, the light we seek which is waiting for us is the love of our Mother.

BRO RICKY CUENCA’S MESSAGE

God is good, all the time…All this blessings we are now receiving would not be happening not because of me but through the Love of God. Let’s all praise and worship Him for all this blessings.

All of this are through the intercession of Our Mother, Our Lady of Banneux the patron of Ancop. The concern, the response and answer to the mission of each members of CFC by committing their lives in helping us Answer the Cry of the Poor. We would like to represent Ancop USA who has funded 4

Communities as of the moment. Ancop USA would like to send each and everyone a Happy and Prosperous Merry Christmas. Truly its Christmas in October since Christmas is still 2 month away but the gifts are already here courtesy of our brothers from Ancop USA and most specially from God.God has used CFC to truly Answer the Cry of the Poor…

BRO JOE YAMAMOTO’S MESSAGE

My heart is filled with joy and happiness because this was just a dream when we started and now its all a reality. I remembered in one movie “Field of Dreams – Build and the people will come”. I realized even if we are dreaming, we build structures, we build lives and we build families its important we have God by our side and its also important that we have his Mother by our side as well.If we have Mama Mary as we go on or move on with our lives it will always be blessed by our Lord Jesus Christ. This is what's happening to this site, we all started moving out of inspiration and with the power of prayers and I guess the rest we can now call history.I just arrived from our Marian Pilgrimage, the very first place we visited was the

apparition site of Our Lady of Banneuz inBelgium. This is our way of honouring our Mother and its simply because we are called to do the work with the poor. This is the very place where Our Mother declared that she was the Mother of The Poor. Our work for the poor will not stop here…God again has honoured our humility and faithfulness as one community and one country. In Belgium different catholic countries do ask the parish priest if they can build a grotto to honour our Mother but very few are given the privilege. When CFC requested for a space to build the grotto to honour Our Lady of Banneux we were given the permission to do so. Last October 4(Wednesday) we did a ground breaking ceremonies for the grotto. Philippines will be represented by the Mama Mary that is in the Hearts of CFC and CFC Ancop. The grotto will soon raise with Mama Mary and at her background it will say “Philippines Couples for Christ and CFC Ancop”. Truly it will be so beautiful…
