Welcome Spring! We have some upcoming Spring field trips; the 3’s will be going to Springton Manor on May 16. Kindergarten will visit Elmwood Park Zoo on May 23. Also, Mother's Day is right around the corner and the ELC is hosting a Mother's Day Tea.The cost will be $5 per child (mom is free). This will include yummy food and a gift for mom. Please stay posted for more details. Mom's can treat themselves to a post Mother's Day evening with OLC ELC's Mom's Night Out! (this is an adult only event). We are offering a night out for only $5 (all money goes towards our scholarship fund). Enjoy a night out with friends, good treats, and affordable services (manicure, pedicure, eyebrow wax, massage, etc.)

HISTORIC BUS TOURS OF PARKESBURG
AND DOE RUN ON SUNDAY, MAY 5 Immerse yourself in local history with a bus tour of the Parkesburg and Doe Run areas. These tours will be conducted by historians Gerry Treadway and Kathleen Hood who will highlight the rich history reflected in the landscape of Doe Run and Parkesburg. Our buses will leave at 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm from the Schneider Center in Parkesburg. The cost of these trips is $15 which will include the bus ride plus refreshments served at the end of the tour. With limited seating, reservations are definitely recommended! From mansions to mills to racetracks and ghost villages, these tours are sure to delight!
SPECIAL ANNIVERSARY MASS, PRESENTATION AND TOUR FOR
OUR LADY OF CONSOLATION PARISH AT OLD BOHEMIA - MAY 18
Travel back in time to the centuries when circuit-riding priests rode on horseback to conduct Masses in the barns and fields of our parish. Old Bohemia, also known as St. Xavier Church, was one of the earliest Catholic settlements in the English Colonies as well as the Maryland residence of priests who traveled to PA to serve Catholics in the 1700s and 1800s. Join us for a special Anniversary Mass, which will be celebrated by OLC clergy, a tour the Old Bohemia Museum where historic artifacts are displayed from the old Jesuit plantation, and a visit to the Old Bohemia Gift Shop that will also be opened for our visit. Those wishing to bring a lunch are also welcome to enjoy a picnic on the scenic grounds of this historic church! A car caravan will leave the Schneider Parish Center at 8:30 am for the trip to Old Bohemia in Warwick, MD. Sign up for this free event today!
