His life’s experiences and literature he reads (the Roman poets like Martial) serve as inspiration for his writing. We can find connections between his life and his work.

His poem “The Means to Attain a Happy Life”

Shakespeare’s life is affected and shaped by his social standing, Elizabeth I’s love of the theatre, and the politics of the day.

His life’s experiences in Stratford and London, the literature he read (like the poems of Henry Howard) serve as inspiration for his writing. We can find connections between his life, what he read and the work he produces.
