A special philatelic souvenir folder to commemorate the life and legacy of the late President Nelson Mandela has been issued. There are very few momentous events in a lifetime when we experience something that fills us with intense emotion, a sense of history in the making, or a sense of awe and wonder. One such event that took place right here in South Africa and which captured the imagination of the whole world, was the day Nelson Mandela was released from prison. Sunday, 11 February 1990 was not only one of the most momentous days of Nelson Mandela's extraordinary life, but also in the lives of all fellow South Africans.
