Message from the Activity Director

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the American University of Beirut Medical Center, it gives me great pleasure to announce ORL HORIZONS 2018, an activity that will highlight evidence-based treatments for common diseases and disorders of the ears, nose and throat, and related structures. This half day CME activity is organized in collaboration with the Continuing Medical

Education Office at the American University of Beirut Medical Center. This year’s program will highlight current challenges in pediatric otolaryngology head and neck surgery. The audience for the course will be comprised of practicing otorhinolaryngologists, pediatricians, and other physicians who treat patients with ear, nose, and throat diseases as well as residents and other healthcare professionals.

In addition to presentations from local, regional, and international speakers, our residents and faculty will present the results of various clinical research projects and highlight innovative treatment and surgical options. This year, we are honored to welcome Dr. Ramzi Younis from the University of Miami Health System as keynote speaker on patient safety and quality improvement in otolaryngology.

I look forward to welcoming you all in yet another successful event.
