THE LIFE AND TIMESOF NEW MEDIA CAMPAIGNSSTARTED IN

2006

After entering the idea into the Carolina Challenge and winning 1st place,they changed the name to New Media Campaigns and officially launchedin May of 2006.

After a slow but decent start in politics, the team started working with non-profits, companies, and ad agencies, giving them the ability to fulfill needs outside of the political realm.

Fall rolled around and two of the team members left to pursue higher degrees - Zach to Harvard Business School and Kris to Brown’s ComputerScience PhD program. Clay and Joel took over full time, letting college tatake a backseat as they focused on growing the company.

They started hitting a stride in 2008, and added Josh Lockhart to the team.Later that year, Kris grew tired of academia and after spending time atMicrosoft, decided to come back to the team. In 2009, the team added Alex, Eli, and Patrick full time. So far in 2010, the company has continued to grow and added another full time team member - Jonathan Hungate.

In just four years, New Media Campaigns has grown from a startup idea betbetween a bunch of college buddies to a full service web design, marketing, and development company that has built over 400 websites fororganizations around the world. We’ve worked with such clients as EpiPen,the Rhodes Scholarships, Cisco, UNC, NC State, and Saranac Beer.

About half of our work is supporting advertising, PR, and design firms as they take on interactive projects while politics still represents about a quarter of our our work. We’re incredibly excited to haveyou join the team and we look forward tothis summer! AND A LOT OF

NMC started as an idea between Zach Clayton, Joel Sutherland, Kris Jordan, and Clay Schossow while attending school at UNC. After the four had loosely worked together on the online campaign for a Governer’s race, they had the idea to build the product in an easily replicable way that could affordably be scaled to smaller campaigns.
