Hands on Maths activities - Building the volume of a given measurement.

Hello everyone and how time flies! It is already nearly Christmas. These next few weeks will see your children involved in many academic and sporting events.

Intensive swimming commences next week for those students in year 2 and for those electing to attend in the Primary classes. This is a life skill that may one day save your child’s or another person’s life if they are able to rescue them. Money well spent. The cost of the program is $50.00 and is now to be paid at the front office.

The book fair is currently at the school and there are a great range of books for them to choose from. This may give you some great Christmas ideas to keep them busy with over the Christmas holidays!

This Thursday is our Future Dreaming Day for primary students. You are all invited to come along to chat with our guest speakers from a wide range of careers represented to assist with your child setting goals for their futures. We have found this stimulates conversation and gives students a reason for their schooling.

Carols By Candlelight Carols by Candlelight will be a great night out this year. Brought to you by the Lion’s Club, it’s bound to be a wonderful night for all. Gates open at 5pm for a 5:30 start. There are prizes for the kids who wish to dress up. There will be a prize for a boy and a girl under age 3. The Grand Prize for the 4 -10 year old dress up section is a Day Pass for up to 5 people to the Macadamia Castle (valued at $120) so be sure your child dresses up. Bring your own chairs or picnic blanket and get ready for a lovely evening under the stars. Torch candles will be available to buy, as well as food and drinks. Activities will include; face painting, a chocolate wheel and raffle. Then get set up under the stars, buy your torch candles and settle in a friendly night of caroling. The

event will take place on the 26th of November (it’s a Sunday) at Gateway Lifestyle, 69 Light St, Casino. Entry is FREE so there is no excuse not to come along and enjoy the night. The words will be provided on the night in a programme. There will be a very special guest too; Santa will be appearing. So get organized and get yourself to the Lion’s Carols
