Pool Management
Pool management will list all the patients currently enrolled on a program.
Programs include - organ program and pathway.
Pathway type is TWL - Transplant waiting list for deceased organ donation, LDD - living directed donation and KPD - Kidney Paired Donation.
Rows shaded green indicate that the recipient is ready and not on hold.

Patient Match Profile
The match profile contains all recipient information
• Find a patient in the system via search or pool management • Click on a patient to view the Match Profile
The following tabs will be shown
• Histocompatibility Profile • Test Results • Enrolments for transplant • Reports • Notes and Attachments • TWL match history • Transplants
Histocompatibility Profile
This section contains immunological data for the patient. HLA Typing and unacceptable antigens are used in the matching algorithms to find the best immunologically matched donor for the patient.
HLA Typing Profile
HLA typing of the patient is displayed .These HLA results are used in matching. For further details such as testing method, test date refer to patient report issued by the laboratory.
Unacceptable Antigens and Acceptable Antigens
Page | 7 OrganMatch – Clinical Portal – User Guide Version 1 October 2020
This section provides details a tailored profile of HLA antigens that should be avoided when matching potential donors. Assignment of UA is performed by the laboratories in consultation with the transplant units.
In the details section, more information is provided on how the unacceptable antigens were defined.
An assessment of factors, such HLA antibodies, previous transplant mismatches are used when defining a list of HLA donor antigens would be considered unacceptable for an individual recipient.

Assignment of Unacceptable Antigens (UA) and Use in matching algorithms
Unacceptable antigens or Antigens used for exclusion that are assigned in OrganMatch will
• TWL UA will potentially exclude the patient from progressing through to the matching algorithms and are therefore patients will be ineligible to be offered a kidney from any deceased organ donor with those antigens.
• Living Donor UA will exclude KPD patients from being eligible to be offered a kidney from a live donor on the KPD with those HLA antigens
Acceptable Antigens are used in specific cases, for example if the patient has an allele specific antibody. There are three types of Unacceptable antigens in Organ Match
• Antibody sourced - as a result of HLA antibody test results • Previous donor mismatch • Other - HLA antigens added from other sources such as those to avoid high eplet loads.
mPRA
Match calculated panel-reactive antibody. Provides an estimate of the percentage of deceased organ donors that will be incompatible for a recipient based on the antigens assigned as unacceptable for a recipient. The mPRA represents the HLA antigen frequency in the population, based on a pool of donors from the Australian population. If more than one HLA antigen is unacceptable, the mPRA is the total frequency of the HLA antigens.

Enrolments for Transplant Current and historical enrolments can be viewed. Click on the row to see more information about the enrolment. These are individuals for each Organ Program.
Enrolment Status
Status indicates if a patient is available for transplant.
Status can be updated by the hospital transplant coordinators, if they have been provided access to do this.
Readiness
A patient’s readiness indicates if OrganMatch criteria for matching has been met.
Program Pathway Criteria Kidney TWL • HLA A, B, DRB1
• OM Lab • Transplant Hospital • ABO final and ABO confirmed • Unacceptable Antigens authorised • Dialysis state date
Kidney LDD • HLA A, B, DRB1 • OM Lab
Kidney KPD • HLA A, B, C, DRB1, DQB1, DQA1, DPB1 • OM Lab • Transplant Hospital • ABO final and ABO confirmed • Unacceptable Antigens authorised • Luminex Single Antigen Bead – Class I and Class II – tested

Enrolment Information Generic information in all enrolments include
• View History Status – see all changes to the enrolment status
• Providers Clinical and transplant units linked to the recipients Hospital reference – details of hospital MRN or UR numbers
Willing to accept This section displays information on additional acceptance criteria for the recipient for patients on Kidney TWL.
• Accept HepBc Ab pos (KPD only) - recipient consented to receive as Hep B core Ab positive
donor • Accept HepC Ab pos (TWL only) - Patients are consented to receive HCV Virus Antibody
positive/PCR positive (HCV Ab+ve / PCR+ve) and who are willing to consent to receive kidneys from HCV AB+ve donors
• Accept Increased Viral Risk Donor (TWL only) - These patients have been consented to receive donors with increased Viral Risk
• Accept TRK (TWL only) - Tumor Resected Kidney - only applicable for states that have these programs
• Accept ABOi TWL - Currently this is only applicable for blood group A or B patients that can accept Blood group AB deceased organ donors. KPD - indicates which ABO incompatible donors can be accepted.

Reports
Reports that have been issued by the laboratory (from April 2nd 2019) can be viewed and downloaded from this section
Notes and Attachments Attachments and notes can be added to a recipient record
To add a note
• Click Add Note • Add a title and detail of Note
• Click on Attachment and add a document ( PDF/Excel/Word) . For example Enrolment forms, ABO results, consent forms could be attached .
• Click Save When a note is added, a notification will be sent to the laboratory, indicating that a note has been added to the recipient record. Notes can be replied to by selecting reply . A notification will be sent to the lab if you reply to the note. This is a useful alternative to emailing the laboratory .

TWL Match History This section displays the matching history with deceased organ donors. Kidney ranks are displayed
If algorithm assessment is Yes, this means the recipient was eligible to pass through to matching. You will be able to see the matching outcome and the rank and score of the recipient with the donor. If the algorithm assessment is No - the patient has been excluded for matching - usually due to Unacceptable antigens or blood group incompatibility. Click on the blue arrow – to view further details of the match.
Transplants
Transplant information can be viewed.
Clicking on the transplant row, will take you to the Transplant event.

Transplant Events
The transplant event will show you information on the patient in relation to their donor. This includes information that was provided to the transplant unit at the time of the offer and also post-transplant information.
