Last year’s conventioncelebrated 25 years of theSociety’s journey in bringinginfection prevention and controlto the forefront of awareness foroptimal healthcare delivery. Thisyear, the PHICS takes on “Vision20/20: IPC in the Next 25 Years”as the theme for the annualconvention. With this, the societyseeks to further enhance therelevance of infection preventionand control on the background ofa rapidly changing landscape ofinfectious diseases, while furtherestablishing the basic principlesof IPC. The organizing committeehas prepared plenary sessionsand breakout symposia, as wellas panel discussions that areintended to define theimportance of the IPCpractitioner in several aspects ofhealthcare delivery.
