Next Week
Next week. It’s 7 days away. 6 more days to prepare.
Of course, what I’m talking about is our annual Friends and Family Day. I hope you have plans to be here. Wouldn’t it be GREAT if we had 100% attend-ance just of our own BVH family? How awesome would that be?
While that would be great, this is the one day of the year where we want to go BEYOND just our own members. We want to go to the larger community in a united effort, and invite them to join us for a time of worship.
I’ve said it before, and I repeat it now, no one person can make this day a success. We need full participa-tion. Using Paul’s analogy of the body, we need the arms, legs, feet, mouths, and hands to unite so we can honor the head of the body – Jesus Christ.
This afternoon we will be gathering at one of the pa-vilions at Choccolocca Park (there are only 2) from 4:00-6:00. We will offer free hot dogs to those walking the track trying to lose weight, and anyone else who may stroll by. We will also be handing out invitations to join us next Sunday. I hope you will be there this afternoon. We always have a wonderful time.
One more thing I encourage you do to in preparation for F&F Day. Pray. Ask God to receive the glory for what we are trying to do. Because in the long run, this is about Kingdom expansion. We want people to have the same gift of salvation we have. If we won’t tell them, who will (Romans 10:14-15)? So pray for God’s hand to be heavily involved.
Blessings!
