FAMILY NEWS Current Adult Class Schedule Teachers Location Subject Kip Marcellus Boomers Room “Grace” Stan Hatcher Fellowship Hall “Glory Days” Robin Yeldell Upstairs (301) Video Discussion Mission Sunday Update Our Mission Sunday was a great success thanks to your generous giving. $26,189.70 was given last Sunday and $77,425 in pledges was made to be given throughout the year. The grand total, counting our children’s offering, was $103,727.42. Thank You KCOC! And praise God for being so good to us! Our Hearts Go Out To Ben Hearn and family on the passing of Dan, Ben’s son. His funeral was Monday in Tyler. Wednesday Night Adult Study – “Eat This Book” Join us Wednesday nights at 7:00pm for a conversation about the Bible and how to read the Bible in the best possible ways. We’re exploring questions like: Why do we read? And, how can we read so that our lives match the words we digest? Children’s Offering Update Special thanks to our kids! Each week they give to Mercy Project that is working in Ghana to rescue kids from trafficking situations. Last week they gave $125.00 toward this effort. Please remember in prayer: Walter Yandell is Health South. It's at 7930 New Haven Rd. in Dallas between Royal and Forest. James Henderson’s mom, Sandra came home. Mary Lee (Judy Bartlett’s mom) is better following her surgery. Also remember Sherrill Medlin, Patti Koleszar, Barbara Hearn, Dorothy Dees, & Jose Lara, Brenda’s husband.
A Conversation About Poverty The second Poverty Conversation is today. Please let us know if you are signed up but can’t attend. Also, we solicit the prayers of the church that this time will honor and glorify God. Thanks so much, Polly & Raleen Ladies Bible Class Will resume our study of “Redeemed” by Angela Thomas-Pharr at 10:00am Tuesday. This week, February 21st, Charlotte Corcoran will be presenting the lesson. Join us for a good study and fellowship in the Parlor. Baby Shower Lunch Sunday, February 26 after worship there will be a lunch & baby shower for Ryan & Jen Roberts to welcome their newest baby, Ryder. Bring a side or dessert to share and chicken will be provided. Also, bring a package of diapers! Everyone is welcome to come! Jen uses Pampers + Swaddlers size 2 and up. Dear KCOC, I am very happy to write you again. How are you? I am doing well in Ghana. By the grace of God I am now in grade 4. I am doing well in my studies. SoulLink – 25 of us will leave this Friday (Feb 24) to head to Houston to join over 1,000 other students from all over for this weekend Youth Rally. Please Pray that God will move in powerful ways!!! As a part of the weekend we are collecting old blue jeans (rips and tears are okay) we will be cutting them up in to patterns to make shoes for children in Africa. If you have an old pair of jeans lying around, drop them by the office no later than Wednesday night. Thank you for your prayers and support!
