Fond Farewell
Today we say farewell
to a wonderful Christian
family. D.L. & Cheryl
Step are moving to St
Joseph Missouri where
D.L. has taken a posi-
tion with Boehringer
Ingelheim Vetmedica, one of the world's 20 leading pharmaceutical
companies headquartered in Ingelheim, Germany. The company is in-
volved in researching, developing, manufacturing and marketing new
medications of high therapeutic value for human and veterinary medi-
cine. D.L. is manager of research overseeing all cattle research for the
company throughout the United States.
D.L. and Cheryl have been with us since they were both baptized into
Christ June 17, 1998. D.L. has served as a Deacon and Cheryl has
served as a teacher in our children's Bible class program. We have en-
joyed their two sons who grew up here and are fine Christian young
men. Robert is a junior at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapo-
lis, Maryland and Thomas is a sophomore at Texas A&M University in
College Station, Texas. We will truly miss D.L. and Cheryl, their posi-
tive attitudes, smiles, and their spiritual maturity in service to the
Lord. Stillwater's loss is certainly St Joseph's gain. We love them and
want to wish them Godspeed as they transition into this new phase of
their life. We have asked them to stand on the orange carpet after ser-
vices this morning so that the church family here can wish them a fond
farewell.

Derrick.
Following worship we will gather in

Full-Time Youth Minister For some time, many parents of the of the youth group
have requested the elders make our Youth Minister
position full-time. The elders have taken the recom-
mendation of the youth group parent committee and,
for a one year trial period, will increase the youth min-
ister position to full-time with an evaluation at the end
of the year.
Derrick Tharp has served this church as part-time
youth minister for approximately two years while he
worked on his Masters of Christian Ministry degree
from Oklahoma Christian University. He now has only
two on-line courses remaining and will graduate in one year. The elders have asked
Derrick to serve as full-time youth minister during this trial period and he has accepted
the challenge of full-time youth ministry.
Derrick will begin full-time status on Monday, May 16 and will maintain his current
office area. As all ministers, Derrick will report directly to the elders and will work
very closely on a daily basis, with BJ McMichael, Family Minister and serve an active
role in the minister team.
Please welcome Derrick into this new challenge as full-time Youth Minister.

From the Planning Committee for WOW:
The planning committee for this year’s Women of the Word conference on June 11 want you to know two things:
First, we are running an "Early Bird Special" for WOW 2016. You can find details about it by "liking" our Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/WOWStillwater/?ref=bookmarks
Second, the planning committee is reading Proverbs during the month of May and would like to invite you to join us. You have a little catching up to do but if you will read one chapter a day you can get through the 31 chapters of Proverbs over the 31 days of May. And along with reading, the committee invites the ladies of the church to pray for each other and share insights garnered from each day’s chapters.
F.Y.I.
If you would like to donate door prize items i.e. good reads,
Bibles, etc. or if you would like a vendor table at the conference
(no charge) please contact Kristen Ashpaugh at 918-841-1947.
For youth finishing 4th-9th grades!
Sign-ups now through June 15.
