In 2013, Klosterneuburg Monastery orangery will bepresenting the International Orchid Exhibition or the ninthtime. A heated exhibition tent in the monastery garden andthe orangery ofer visitors a rat o interesting exhibitors anddesigns. With an area covering 1,80 0m2, the exhibition
is the biggest o its type in Austria. As in recent years,around 35,000 visitors are expected in 2013. Advice is a keyelement o the exhibition, and there are once again a lot oplants on sale naturally, including accessories and otherlovely things.Numerous orchid owers, rare plants and a coordinatedsupporting programme with interesting package deals orgroups await. We would be delighted to welcome you at ourexhibition.

A luxuriant, splendid sea o owers throughoutthe whole year, a park with a stock o treesover 150 years old, the baroque magnifcenceo the castle complex and church, plus theMediterranean character that is Mainau, the
ower island in Lake Constance. Te orchidshow held between the end o March and thestart o May in the greenhouse o the owerisland is considered one o the most signifcantshows in Europe. Te around 3,000 specimensalso contain rare wild orms and valuable rarities.
Botanical Gardens LeidenTe Hortus botanicus Leiden, ounded in1590, is the oldest botanical gardens in TeNetherlands, and has been an institute o theUniversity o Leiden since then. In additionto teaching and being open to the public,research is the third pillar which has beenimportant ever since the oundation o theHortus. Te orchid collection o the gardens isinternationally renowned, and rare species arestill collected and described, especially in NewGuinea. A special fnd is the recently described
Bulbophyllum nocturnum, the only species oorchid whose owers unold at night.
