In the above screen, when the 1st and 2nd zip file out of 7 zip files was unzipped , a directory ‘database’
Is created under the path /lapps/wdc89/lvol1/app/11gr2.2/
In the above screen , execute the ./runInstaller under the path /lapps/wdc89/lvol1/app/11gr2.2/database/
In the above screen for Step1 of 11 , in the above dialog box , click ‘Yes’ button and then click ‘Next’ button
In the above screen Step 2 of 11 , choose the Radio Button ‘Skip software updates’ and click ‘Next’
In the above screen Step 3 of 10 , choose the Radio Button ‘Install database software only’
In the above screen Step 4 of 10, choose the Radio button ‘Single Instance database installation’
In the above screen Step 5 of 12 , choose Selected Language as ‘English’
In the above screen Step 6 of 12 , choose Radio Button ‘Enterprise Edition’ and click on button ‘Select Options’
Select only the check box ‘Oracle Real Application Testing’ and click on button ‘OK’
In Step 7 of 12 , verify the ORACLE_BASE and Software Location paths are set correctly , then click on ‘Next’ button
In Step 8 of 12 , check if ‘dba’ group is selected and click on ‘Next’ button
In Step 9 of 12 , the installation failed the minimum requirements for 4 OS Kernel Parameters .
For the 1st OS kernel parameter highlighted blue , clicking on ‘Fix & Check Again’ button prepared the fixup script ‘/var/tmp/CVU_11.2.0.2.0_oracle/runfixup.sh’
In step 9 of 12 , when the script ‘var/tmp/CVU_11.2.0.2.0_oracle/runfixup.sh’ is executed from the unix id ‘root.sh’ , it failed with following error :
root @ wnmcdwti [ /var/tmp/CVU_11.2.0.2.0_oracle ]
# ./runfixup.sh
/usr/bin/id
Response file being used is :./fixup.response
Enable file being used is :./fixup.enable
Log file location: ./orarun.log
Setting Kernel Parameters...
projadd: Parse error on line 18, Incorrect number of fields. Should have 5 ":"'s.
adding project failed.
In step 9 of 12 , click on ‘Ignore All’ check box to ignore the warning messages for 4 OS kernel parameters , then click on ‘Next’ button
In step 10 of 12 , click on ‘Install’ button
In step 11 of 12 , execute the ‘$ORACLE_HOME/root.sh’ script as unix id ‘root’ . After this is executed , click OK button
In step 12 of 12 , click on ‘Close’ button
In the above screen , verify the Oracle 11.2.0.2.0 binaries installation by connecting to SQL*Plus
