Citation preview
Para construir la forma negativa del verbo “to be” se añade NOT después del verbo.am not – is not – are notSingular: I am not, you are not, he is not, she is not, it is notPlural: we are not, you are not, they are not
I am not tired. No estoy cansado(a).
You are not late. No llegas tarde.
It is not big. No es grande.
We are not lost. No estamos perdidos.
They are not wrong.
Singular: I’m not, you’re not, he’s not, she’s not, it’s not
Plural: we’re not, you’re not, they’re not
I’m not tired. No estoy cansada.
It’s not late. No es tarde.
They’re not ready.
is not = isn’t — are not = aren’t
you aren’t, he isn’t, she isn’t, it isn’t, we aren’t, they aren’t
no hay …there is not – there are not
Las contracciones: there isn’t, there’s not
there aren’t, there’re not
Usa “there aren’t”.
Con la negación usa ANY en vez de SOME
there isn’t any …
there aren’t any …
There isn’t any bread. No hay pan.
There aren’t any books.

busy …ocupado
happy …feliz, contento
