The Chapel Choir is considered an academic class. They perform three concerts throughout the year (Homecoming Concert, the Christmas Concert and the Spring Music Festival).
Concert ChoirGrades 11-12 Director: Aaron [email protected]
The Concert Choir is an auditioned group, most commonly consisting of juniors and seniors. The choir meets during an academic class period and perform four major concerts throughout the year (Homecoming Concert, the Christmas Concert, the Home Concert,
and the Spring Music Festival). Members of the Concert Choir are ambassadors and may also perform for events in the metro area. This choir takes an annual 8-10 day spring tour—see the Concert Choir Tour section listed under Travel Opportunities.
CarolersGrades 9-12Director: Aaron [email protected]
Dressed in traditional, historic caroler costumes, the Carolers perform during the holiday season at a variety of locations and local events such as luncheons, churches, Bo-nanzaville, and West Acres Mall. They are also featured at the annual high school Christmas Concert.

Grover Choir Squad & Grover ChimesGrades 4-5Director: Emily Wittkop The Grover Choir Squad is an elective 4th and 5th grade choir that performs locally through-out the year and at the Elementary School concerts and programs. Grover Chimes is an elective program where students learn to play hand chimes and perform at the Elementary School concerts and programs.

The Concert Band meets during an academic class period. They perform two major concerts each year, the Christmas Concert and Spring Concert, and arrange smaller community performances throughout the school year. The Oak Grove Theatre Department boasts a robust season featuring four productions for grades K-12.

The theatre offers opportunities for everyone.Students can participate in many aspects of the theatre ranging from acting, set design & construction, lighting & sound design, hair & makeup, and costume design.

Key Club is an international student-led organization that provides members with various opportunities for volunteer service, character building, and leadership develop-ment. The group is divided into three commit-tees that focus on: the school, the community and the environment. Meetings for Key Club are held during lunch once a month.

Students spend time developing their leadership skills, learning about nonprofit organizations in the FM Community, and the importance of philanthropy. Throughout the year, students spend time researching and visiting nonprofit organizations within the community. Meetings for PaY are typically held during lunch 2-3 days each month.

Students utilize their creativity to assemble the Oak Leaves yearbook. From taking and selecting photos, to organizing and devel-oping each page, students have the chance to create a piece of history for Oak Grove, containing all of the events and memories of the school year. Meetings are held throughout the school year as necessary, but much of the work is done on each students’ respective time and pace.
Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA)Grades 9-12Students meet once per month for Bible Study, community building, and special events/activities.

Members of the Student Council serve as ambassadors to school administration. Throughout the year they plan a number of student activities such as dances, game nights, service projects, and much more! Student Council representatives for sophomores, juniors and seniors are elected in the spring of the previous school year along with the Student Body President. Each fall, freshman, new students and international students can run for student council. Student Council meets weekly.

High school students have the opportunity to take part in mission trip experiences during the school year and in the summer. Past experiences have included trips to Guatemala, Peru, and New Mexico where we support our partner organizations.
Concert Choir/Band Tour Grades 9-12Contact: Aaron [email protected]
Each spring, the Concert Choir embarks on an 8-10 day U.S. tour. The students, as ambassadors for Oak Grove, spread the Mission and Word of God through their music and showcase the incredible vocal arts programs at Oak Grove. The Concert Choir tours every year. The Concert Band tours every other year.

Take part in several opportunities throughout the year to grow in your faith and serve others. The Camp House Retreat in the summer has been a highlight as students unplug, reset, and get closer to God.

Every other summer, high school students and adults have the opportunity to travel overseas for 2-3 weeks exploring the culture and scenery of a different country. Students who plan to take the trip are required to take a course in conjunction with the travel experience. Past trip have incuded: • Australia and New Zealand • Ireland, Scotland, and England • Italy, Greece, and Norway
