Today’s Topic

“Everyone has a website, so why study it?” Wrong question. Perhaps we should ask, “With the criticality of relevant communications, why are there so many junkie websites?” This class will examine the purpose & vision of church websites. Is your site built for staff use, for “customers,” congregants, visitors or the public? We will focus on the style of websites, from simple to complex, from structured to artistic. Does a website have to be expensive?

Topic, cont.

We will examine the major web platforms: Dreamweaver, WordPress, Jumla and Droopal. What makes a church site so different from other organizations and companies? We will discuss and “live demo” several significant sites—and give the tools so you can critique your own site. We will examine the various review mechanisms, criteria, surveys, team process, inclusion of decision-makers, and input from the church vision-creator and directional leader.

Chapter 3, “Seven Keys of Culture”Cracking Your Church’s Culture Code by Sam Chand

Sam Chand listed seven factors that shape organizational cultures?  What was helpful in those seven?  What do you want to work with your team on?  Where is your team strong?

How open is your team to creating a healthy team culture?  Are they open to do whatever it takes?
