Notes on the use of different sizedutensils

Min. base diameter pots / pans = 14 cm

Max. rim diameter pots / pans = 30 cm

– Refer to the information above andensure that the pan diameter fallswithin the minimum and maximumdiameters given for the burner. A panbase which is too small will beunstable on the pan support. If thepan diameter is too large, flames canspread out to the sides and damageor burn the worktop, wall claddings orsurrounding units and also parts ofthe appliance. Miele cannot be heldliable for this type of damage.

– Remember when purchasing newpans that manufacturers usually referto the diameter at the top of the panin their documentation.

– Any heat-resistant pans can be usedon a gas burner.

– Pans with thick bases are preferableas these distribute heat more evenly. With thin bases, there is a danger offood overheating in places. Stir thefood frequently.

– Always place cookware on the pansupport supplied with the appliance.Never place it directly on the burner.

– Position the pan centrally on the pansupport so that it sits securely andcannot tip. A little movement is quitenormal and not a cause for concern.
