    Orphan is a film about a family who decide to adopt anorphan shortly after Kate and Johns third child who was stillborn. Kate is also recovering from alcoholism because of thestill birth. The film follows the familys life after they adopt

    Esther a girl who isolates herself from others and is notcompletely who she says she is.

    Protagonist: In a sense each member of the family is theprotagonist at one point in the film and Esther uses each ofthe persons weakness against them in the film for her own

    pleasure.Antagonist: Esther is the antagonist in this film, whos lifestory remains a mystery to the audience until the end of thefilm.

    The opening sequence of this film consists of thestillbirth of Kate and Johns third child. This gives somebackground information to the audience about the still

    birth and how it has effected their lives, especially Kates.This automatically shows Kates weakness to theaudience and that Esther would use this weakness lateron in the film.

    Plot

    Black Swan is a film about a girl named Nina who is aballet dancer and her fight to be the lead in SwanLake. This is because Thomas (director) wants

    someone who can portray both the white and blackswan, and Nina was only good at portraying the whiteswan. The film follows her journey of becoming theperfect black swan and tackling the many differentproblems and hallucinations along the way.
