To thrive in today’s volatile business environment requires organisations of any size to systematically challenge assumptions, recognise the non-obvious, and generate alternatives their customers value - the kind of behaviour most often associated with agile start-ups.

Delegates will address such issues as the creation of a context within which entrepreneurialism is nurtured and contagious, or the most appropriate organisational structures and processes to generate sustainable growth.

AN UNSURPASSED HERITAGE OF ACADEMIC RIGOUR...

The Cambridge Judge Business School Innovation Suite

The Cambridge Experience

A priceless “Cambridge Experience”...

Effective business learning solutions create value through sparking genuine transformation – of both individuals and organisations. This impact comes from excellence in both the ideas and tools that are shared and the environment in which this sharing takes place.

After all, cutting edge thinking means nothing if it not delivered in a manner which promotes comprehension, while the finest school in the land would simply be just another building if not for the free-thinking innovators inside it sharing their knowledge.

Thanks to our unique position as the business school of the University of Cambridge, we have the ability to offer both. By marrying the centuries-long experience of research and education with the vibrancy of modern business innovation, we ensure that our alumni leave us transformed, able to effect genuine change thanks to the time they spent with us…

We like to call it the “Cambridge Experience”.

... that flows from our rich history

Founded in 1209, ours is one of the world’s oldest universities and a leading global research institute. The University of Cambridge is not a centre of teaching, it is a centre of learning – and there is a subtle, yet critical, difference.

The former is a place where existing knowledge is passed on, from master to student. The latter is a place where knowledge is shared among peers in a process of collaboration that leads to new thinking.

This is the approach that has made The University Of Cambridge the world-leading research institution it is today, one that sits at the centre of global knowledge network and boasts no less than 107 Nobel laureates among its alumni.

Here at the Cambridge Judge Business School we embrace that heritage. We exist at the interface between academia and delivery, applying new knowledge to practical, real-world situations and collaborating with the business world to create genuine impact.

... THAT PUSHES THE CUTTING EDGE OF INNOVATION

The Cambridge Judge Business School Innovation Suite

The Cambridge Experience

The Judge Business School story

Since 1990, we at Cambridge Judge Business School have forged a reputation as a centre of rigorous thinking and high-impact transformative education… one that impacts upon individuals, organisations and society.

Our faculty and associates are truly world-class, and we are proud of our global reputation – indeed 97% of our research is deemed world-leading, internationally excellent or internationally recognised by the independent body Research Excellence Framework (REF).

The foundations for our excellence are built upon one overriding ambition: the use of our unique position to leverage the power of academia to promote real-world impact. We pursue innovation through infusing the Cambridge traditions of inter-disciplinary insight and free-thinking with a close collaboration with business and a keen understanding of entrepreneurial spirit.

This means that the cutting-edge research we conduct and educational outcomes we produce are always rooted in real-world challenges, answering questions that organisations are asking and delivering results that have create genuine change across myriad industries.

The Executive Education equation

Our goal is simple: to deliver an education solution that ensures that you, your team and your organisation develop the skills and mindset to push forward the boundaries of value creation and realise your ambition.

We work with every attendee, partner and client organisation at a deep level, identifying important problems and questions, challenging and coaching people to find answers, and create new knowledge. By bringing forward the latest thinking from academia and professional practice, and applying our combined knowledge to specific business situations, this thinking can then be turned into action.

A CHALLENGING BUSINESS LEARNING ENVIRONMENT...

The Cambridge Judge Business School Innovation Suite

The Cambridge Experience

A place for valuable enterprise

The Cambridge Experience a rewarding experience – but also necessarily a challenging one. We pride ourselves on applying the highest standards of the university’s academic rigor to the entirety of our Executive Education offering, and delegates are required to devote time and energy before, during and after the programmes to ensure they can extract maximum value from their investment.

To support you in your endeavors we have at our disposal here in Cambridge the resources of one of the world’s premier centres of learning – which you and your fellow programme participants are welcome to avail yourselves of.

The principle of coming to work with us in Cambridge is not just about cutting-edge facilities or our world-class faculty team, it’s about leveraging our special position to enhance your learning experience.

On the one hand, it might be about convening high calibre individuals who have had first-hand

experience at the very highest levels of business and government to share their knowledge.

We are not only able to call upon the unique network of contacts you would expect from one of the world’s foremost centres of learning, but also to tap into the expertise of East Anglia’s “Silicon Fen” community – one of the most successful technology clusters in the world.

Alternatively, it might be about using the Cambridge “place” to foster an environment that promotes inspiration and reflection – an opportunity which might not be possible in your day-to-day surroundings. Where better, for example, to discuss the intricacies of high-performance team leadership than the historic boathouse of the Cambridge University rowing team?

On the reflection front, meanwhile, high-table dinner in one of our college’s historic dining rooms - included in all of our Strategy suite programmes - offers a chance to reward your efforts and reflect upon your learnings with your fellow cohort members.

... THAT DELIVERS PROFOUND IMPACT WHICH ENDURES

The Cambridge Judge Business School Innovation Suite

The Cambridge Experience

The key concept of collaboration

Collaboration in thought is central to the success of the Cambridge ethos, and our approach to knowledge sharing whole-heartedly embraces this paradigm. We actively enhance the social dimension of learning, facilitating in-depth group discussions and the creation of communities of practice. Our programmes iteratively moves between class discussion, workshops, small group brainstorming, and coaching and individual work

This philosophy, for example, can also be found in our belief that small is beautiful – we cap the number of participants who attend each programme at 25, as we have found that any more than that can diminish the depth, and therefore the value, of the kind of exchange and debate that we look to foster.

Impacting on individuals...

We want every attendee to leave us better equipped to effect real change in themselves and their organisation – both in the short term and the years ahead – having been challenged by the potential of new thinking.

While we know that everyone arrives at the Judge Business School with them a wealth of valuable knowledge and business expertise, and we believe the most rewarding education process begins with breaking down assumptions and potentially incomplete analyses.

It is through exposure to new thinking, in the form of both our world-class faculty expertise and other participants – with their differing experiences and business backgrounds, that new practices emerge and more effective ways of thinking are ingrained.

But while the challenges business leaders face might be based around common themes, their context always means the solution is not. This is why content, nature and effectiveness of the take-outs will be decided by you - and why our focus is always on working with you as an individual to make sure that you are best placed to make a real difference when you return to your business.

This is why we make no apologies for that the Cambridge Experience is a challenging one... and participants are united in the belief that it is a rewarding one.
