Come Celebrate Our Confirmands on Palm Sunday Maundy ursday Service April 13th at 7:00pm in the sanctuary Join us for this poignant service of remembering Jesus’ last days as we share in the first communion at the Passover meal, and travel with Jesus during His arrest and death on the cross for our sins. Our choir will bless us with special music during this meaningful service of remembrance. Good Friday e chapel will be open for individual prayer from 9:00am – 6:00pm. Walk with Jesus Good Friday at Friendship Hall – Choose to attend at 6:30pm OR 7:00pm An intergenerational experience of walking with Jesus in the last week before His death on the cross. Visit the room where Passover was celebrated, go to the Garden of Gethsemane, walk with Jesus to the cross and visit the empty tomb. is is a truly inspiring experience, and EVERYONE is encouraged to be a part of it. Easter Sunday 7:00am - Community Sunrise service on the Dunedin Causeway Join many Dunedin churches for worship at the end of the causeway on the leſt by the kayak rental place. (ere is another church service on the causeway also before you get to this one.) Bring your own lawn chair and coffee! Pastor Linda is one of the pastors involved in this service. 8:45 - 10:45am – Breakfast in west end of Friendship Hall Come anytime and enjoy this great meal provided by our youth. Cost - donation. Let our teens cook for you as you enjoy breakfast with your church family. 9:30am – Traditional Worship in sanctuary; KidzGROUPS on MainStreet 10:35am – Butterfly Release in courtyard on Wood Street 11:00am – Modern Worship in Friendship Hall; KidzWORSHIP on MainStreet Invite a friend or neighbor or stranger to Holy Week activities! is is a wonderful morning to share Jesus with someone! Here are some important dates to remember during this month:

• � e Children’s Handbell Choir will be sharing a familiar hymn during both of the worship services on April 2nd

• During Holy Week there will be NO Wednesday night activities for children

• Child care will be available on Maundy � ursday, April 13th, for 3rd graders and younger. Sign your kids in upstairs as usual.

• Walk with Jesus on Good Friday at 6:30 or 7:00pmWe hope parents will attend WITH their children but some of our teachers will also be available if kids need an “adult chaperone.”

• Easter Sunday – Regular KidzGROUPS at 9:30am and regular KidzWORSHIP at 11:00am. Butter� y Release BETWEEN the two services at 10:35am. Child care for infants and toddlers available from 9:30am till noon.

One of the highlights of the Easter season is this Good Friday event! All adults, teens, and

children are invited to an hour-long WALK WITH JESUS on Friday, April 14th. � ere will be two di� erent “showings” so you can choose to come at 6:30 OR 7:00pm. � e journey will

start in the Friendship Hall and then individuals and families will walk over to MainStreet. Our hope is that you will really be able to visualize and EXPERIENCE the Last Week of Jesus as

you travel through 5 di� erent rooms. You will hear, smell, taste, touch, and sense the

excitement, anxiety, and joy of Palm Sunday, the Last Supper, Gethsemane, Good Friday, and

the Easter Resurrection. � is will be an unforgettable experience for young and

old – invite your friends and join us for a great beginning to the Easter weekend!

• Join us for the beginning of Holy Week in a special time of worship. During the 9:30am service our choir will present the cantata ‘� e Cross’ which is a beautiful telling of the Easter story through song.

• � ree of our youth will be con� rmed in the 11:00am service. � is is a special time to show your support as they make their commitment to Christ on this special Sunday. Pastor Linda will conclude her Lenten sermon series.

Our monthy church dinner for everyone is April 5th . Come share this lasagna dinner with

your church family from 5:45 – 6:30pm,

Our program following dinner this month will be led by our Parish Nurse, Diane Crisler, who

will demonstrate what we can do in times of emergency when an infant, child or adult stops

breathing or chokes. Come learn how to save a life!

April Wednesday Night Dinner

� is is the 41st year that our congregation has been decorating the cross in front of the church on Easter Sunday! Plan now to bring your fresh � owers as a gi� of gratitude for the amazing sacri� ce of Jesus. Diana Crisler will be available to take

pictures of your family between the services and a� er the second service.

Easter Lilies are available to order in memory or honor of

a loved one to decorate the worship areas on Easter Sun-day. Please � ll out a form, in-clude the $10 per plant, and place in o� ering or bring to church o� ce by April 11th.

Butter� ies are o� en used as a symbol of the Easter

season as we remember the miraculous change that

occurs when we are forgiven and the new creatures that

we become because of Jesus’ sacri� ce on the cross. Join us in the courtyard on Easter

Sunday at 10:35am for what has become a wonderful tradition here at Dunedin FUMC.

� e children will lead us in this special celebration as we release more than 125 live butter� ies into the sky and remember that

Jesus is alive!

Easter Lilies

April 2nd is the last Sunday to place your order for the United Methodist Women’s Chocolate Easter

Eggs. You have a choice of dark, milk or white chocolate covered peanut butter eggs. � e cost is 3

for $10 and they can be mixed or matched. � ey are made to order! � e eggs will be delivered on Palm

Sunday, April 9th. Proceeds bene� t the many global and local ministries of the United Methodist

Women.
