Its important to treat me as an individual because I am a person in my own right with individual needs. My disability doesnt define me. Although I may have the same disability as another person my needs will be different. Value me because this has an affect on my emotional well being. I have my own preferences, choices, interests, abilities. I am still someone's son/daughter/sister/brother/mother/father/nan or granddad You should care about my feelings as 9. EHC Plan (Education, Health and Care Plan) An education, health and care (EHC) plan is for children and young people aged up to 25 who need more support than is available through special educational needs support. EHC plans identify educational, health and social needs and set out the additional support to meet those needs. Every person involved with the child and young persons care will contribute to the plan for a more holistic approach. 22. How can individuals be in control of their care needs?
