Check out some great warm up exercises to help get you ready to workout. With warm-up stretches, you help to prepare the muscles for action, increase blood flow to hopefully prevent injuries like torn muscles! Additional benefits of warming up include physiological and psychological preparation. When you look at warm up exercises, you need to progress to the following sequence of stretches only after you have warmed up the muscles properly. Remember that your warm-up is the key to unlocking tight muscles, which is the cause of injury.

Benefits of a Proper Warm Up:

Increased Muscle Temperature - The temperature increases within muscles that are used during a warm-up routine. A warmed muscle both contracts more forcefully and relaxes more quickly. In this way both speed and strength can be enhanced. Also, the probability of overstretching a muscle and causing injury is far less.

Dangers of Careless Driving

Distracted drivers such as reading while driving, increases a drivers' chances of being involved in motor vehicle crashes by three times. Reading maps and directions is also distracting for drivers, and the act of doing so is often accompanied by the process of looking for an address, the stress of being lost, and/or the confusion of driving in an unfamiliar area. Again, the physical act of reading combined with mental and emotional distress creates a dangerous driving distraction. Drivers who need to consult a map or directions should pull over in a safe place; this will also give them time to orient themselves to their surroundings before continuing the trip.
