One day, Jesus visited Peter and Andrew at their family home in Capernaum. Peter’s mother-in-law was very ill with a fever. Jesus ordered the sickness to leave her. She

felt so much better, so she offered to serve him right away!

After hearing about this miracle, people from all around came asking Jesus to heal them from their ailments. Jesus healed a man who had walked his whole life on crutches.

A man with leprosy came to see Jesus. Despite no one ever touching him for fear of catching his disease, Jesus healed

him with a touch, as he wanted him to feel loved.

A woman who was possessed by demons, came to see Jesus. Jesus commanded the demons to leave and they

fled from Him, leaving the woman free again.

There were so many people coming to be healed, that when four men arrived carrying their paralyzed friend, they couldn’t get through the crowd to Jesus! “Let us through!” they cried. But the crowd would not move.

They went up onto the roof and broke through the ceiling! They lowered their friend into the house through a gap. Amazed at their faith, Jesus told the man that he was

forgiven for everything he’d ever done wrong.

He then said to the man, “I tell you, get up, take your blanket and go home.” To everyone’s amazement, the man jumped up, completely healed! Everybody praised God and

said, “We have never seen anything like this!”
