ONCE UPON A PRE-K

Once upon a time there were two teachers

Who met a class they hadn’t met before

They fell in love with all those wondrous children

The minute they first walked into that door

First there was funny, energetic Brian

with beautiful, and black, and bouncy curls.

A true friend: loyal, helpful, and dynamic

with a laugh that could light up the whole world

Daniel came next; and he was bright and friendly

He loved to tickle and to joke away

He always had a smart, new thing to teach them

That they always looked forward to each day

Diego Andrés joined in and he was clever

He could learn things by listening one time

He loved to play with every kind of puzzle

And loved to read books that inside would rhyme

Then in came Diego Eduardo, the class

sweetheart

With a smile that could warm up all your day

delicious hugs that make everything sunny

who always has sweet, nice things to say

Then after that Eduardo later followed

He was a playful, energetic boy

Was fascinated by the Marvel heroes

And loved to play with action figure toys

Emma came after; a born, natural leader

She always brought in something she could share

Her friends would play and look to her to guide

them

They could just follow Emma everywhere

Jose Gabriel was really quite the artist

He loved to draw, paint, and trace like no other

And he was also nice, and wise, and caring

and then he was one fantastic big brother!

JuanGui was just so warm and so delightful

Remarkable at whatever he’d do

Though with words he might not be that expressive

With a hug he’ll say everything to you

Leo was their friend and their protector

All the children could say that was so

When in trouble he was the one they’d look for

and to his house all of his friends would go

Lila was very cute and also lively

She loved to read and always brought a book

Of animals and interesting stories

That she would read so all her friends could look

Lucía was cooperative and helping

She found ways to help out, she was so kind

She also liked to run around the playground

To save all of the snails that she could find

Maria Gabriela was the little teacher

She used teaching in every single game

She loved to learn and could learn very quickly

And so she tried to make her friends the same

Maria Jose was mature and well-grounded

And independent in the best of ways

And sweet and kind, she set a great example

To all on how to behave every day

Mariana was artistic and creative

there wasn’t anything she couldn’t make

she’s really quite a sight if you could see her

when she decides she’s going to decorate

Montserrat was a charming little missy

She was as nice and sweet as she was smart

that with kind words and with her best of drawings

finds bright new ways to conquer your own heart

Nabila was sweet, gentle, kind, and caring

and always had a new story to tell

From Star Wars to the princesses in Disney

She knew these stories and she told them well

Nicole was next, and she was a great singer

Who always found a way to sing a song

Whether it was from radio or Frozen

She could just sing and share them all day long

Noah was very smart and very funny

And he was very charismatic too

his favorite thing to do was building airplanes,

and cars and boats he always liked to do

Sebastian, the last but not least important

Was a very nice, spirited young boy

That with one dance or with one funny statement

could always fill the classroom up with joy

So Teachers Chantal and Antoinette wondered

How they could meet such special boys and girls

Though all of them were different in their own way

They all managed to brighten up their world

We are so grateful for this group of children

And though moving apart can make us blue

Just remember one thing, and one thing only

Pre-K A, both your teachers: WE LOVE YOU!
