The Foodbank relies on the generosity of its donors; your regular donaons throughout the year helps to connue to serve clients going through a crisis. Below is a list of items they are currently in need of: Tinned Spaghe Fruit (Tinned) Vegetables (Tinned) Puddings (Tinned) e.g. Rice Pudding, Sponge Pudding, Custard Fruit Juice (Long-life Carton) Drinking Chocolate Jam Instant Coffee Toiletries/Household Products e.g. deodorant (male/female), shower gel, shampoo, toilet rolls, kitchen towels, washing up liquid, washing powder, toilet cleaner etc. (no bleach) Milk (UHT or powdered) Meat (Tinned) Soya/Rice Milk Tomatoes (Tinned) Pasta Sauces (Jar) Soup (Tinned) (not Tomato Soup at this me) Fish (Tinned) Pulses (Tinned) e.g. kidney beans, lenls Cereals (not whole-wheat biscuits) Please check that items are unopened and undamaged and have a BBD at least 3 months away Addionally, the foodbank offers support and advice at the Monday sessions which are held at St Gabriels Hall in Churchill Gardens. CAP (Chrisans Against Poverty) Debit Advice HELP Specialist Advice Service - HELP is Vital Regeneraons specialist advice service which gives employment, training and housing support to people living in Westminsters temporary accommodaon as well as those living in the private rented sector. Helps main focus is to prevent people from pung their lives on hold whilst waing for more long-term housing to become available. To movate and encourage them to think outside of their current housing situaon by channelling their energy into making a beer life for themselves and their families through training, volunteering leading to sustainable work Let us here at Holy Apostles connue to support this service to our wider community. Announcements

The collection last Sunday came to £1,065.84 (£451.94 envelopes) (£613.90 loose plate). The week before it was £1,128.89. The Direct Debits, Standing Orders, CAF and GYE for April came to £5,654. Thank you to everyone who supports the parish financially.

Please pray for Diana Roberts age 67 of Sussex St whose funeral Mass will be on Tuesday 23rd May at 11.00am. May She Rest in Peace

First Holy Communions will be celebrated over this weekend and next at the Saturday 6pm and Sunday 10.30am Masses. Please keep the children and their families in your prayers.

Rehearsals for First - Parents and children your rehearsals are in the Church on Thursday 11th at 4.30pm for the Sat 13th May group and Thursday11th at 5.30pm for the Sunday 15th May group. Please be on time.

St Vincent de Paul Society meeting Monday 8th May, 6:30pm, St. Magdalene Room

Toda is Good Shepherd Sunday, the day we pray for vocations, Today’s second collection is for the annual Priest Training Fund. The Fund helps pay for the training of seminarians (we currently have 39), the education of priests for special ministries, and ongoing enrichment to strengthen priests. Your gift helps ensure we can provide training for these men responding to Christ’s call to dedicate their lives serving the Church. Please be as generous as you can. Please also pray for vocations; please take home a prayer card for vocations. If you do not have a donation leaflet, plenty are still available at the back of the church. Café Paris – The French Evening on Saturday May 20th – tickets will be on sale from this week at £15 each or £25 for Two. This is in aid of out twinned parish in Turkana in Northern Kenya. It includes supper and one free drink! There will be a raffle and an auction.

Little Waitrose in Warwick Way helping Turkana – if you go in there and buy something you can take part in The "community matters" green coins scheme which is supporting our Project in Turkana. You just pick coins from the box and drop them in the charity of your choice. The three charities will share a donation from Waitrose in proportion of the amount of coins each got. Make sure you put yours in the box for TURKANA PROJECT.

The Padre Pio Prayer Group – that used to meet at the Padre Pio Bookshop in Vauxhall Bridge Road will meet instead in our church every Wednesday from 2.00pm to 4.00pm – starting Wednesday 19th April

Anti-Abortion March in Birmingham on 20th May - This year sees the 50th anniversary of abortion being legalised in Great Britain, over 8 million babies’ lives have been lost since 1967. We all need to make some extra sacrifice this year. Please attend the “March for Life” in Birmingham on Saturday the 20th May. Going to Birmingham may involve a sacrifice for those who live some distance away, but the day is a great witness to our society and is also both informative and encouraging. If you don’t attend the March in the 50th Anniversary year of abortion in England and Wales, when are you going to make the effort to come?
