Natural climate change
In recent years, we see global warming. Summer gets hotter, winters milder.
The average temperature stubbornly
creeping up.
What is the cause of these changes?
Global warming ...
The atmosphere of our planet is made up of various gases. Thanks to some of these solar kept near the Earth's surface, keeping the surface temperature at a level
suitable for life. Retaining heat in the Earth's atmosphere, these gases create an effect called
"greenhouse"
Of the total amount of solar energy
20% - absorbed by the atmosphere
34% - reflects the clouds and the earth's surface
46% - comes to the Earth's surface and heats it.
Without the greenhouse effect of Earth atmosphere would be an average of 30ºС lower than the present, and the surface of the Earth would be only -18ºС.
The main greenhouse gases
Condensation Carbon dioxide Methane Ozone Nitrous oxide Chlorofluorocarbon compounds (CFCs)
The main greenhouse gases
Water vapor holds 60% of the thermal radiation
Other greenhouse gases detain 40% of the thermal radiationtion
Sources of greenhouse gases
Carbon dioxide - burning fuel. Methane - mining and coal transport,
agriculture, waste decomposition. Nitrous oxide - the chemical industry, waste
incineration, and tillage. Freons - aluminum, magnesium, use
extinguishing, refrigeration, air conditioning.

Problems associated with the greenhouse effect
Raising the level of the oceans. Changes in the nature of clouds and the
associated climate change. Changing rainfall by region Changing illumination (global darkening)
Global warming increases the risk of natural disasters such as floods, cyclones, droughts and fires. The number of natural disasters during the 80 years of the twentieth century has doubled compared with the
70th years.
Solutions to the problems of global warming
Even small changes in our everyday habits can make a difference in this world. Did you know that the mass of CO2 per car per year is equal to its own weight!
Solutions to the problems of global warming
One of the most interesting ways to reduce greenhouse gas emissions - renewable wind and solar energy to generate electricity. Renewable energy sources do not pollute the environment and are inexhaustible. Thus, the replacement power plants that run on coal, oil and gas, those that use solar and wind energy, helps in the fight against global warming!
