Facebook Post praising Dr. Magdy Giurgius“I feel compelled to say, I have the ab-solute best surgeon/supporter/esteem booster ever, Dr. Magdy Giurgius. I can’t thank you enough. You haven’t the slightest idea how appreciative

I am of you. Not only for my surgery, but for the encouraging words and support you continually give to me! When I felt like giving up, you continued to believe in me giving me the boost I needed to find the faith in myself, time and time again. Thank you. You are an amazing person. You go above the call of duty. Thank you so much! And Jennfier Crockarell is rather amazing, too. Such a wonderful team you are!”

Jeff Jones ResignationI am writing this email concerning a leadership change within Clinic Operations. Jeff Jones, Vice President of Clinics Operations has decided to leave Ozarks Medical Center. Jeff has made signif-icant and lasting contributions to OMC’s success and I am thankful for the time we shared with Jeff. He has decided to focus on his family and other personal business.

As many of you know, the Network Operations Council was formed nearly a year ago. The Council is composed of seven providers and three people from administration. Over the coming weeks, the NOC will begin the process of selecting the new leader of our clinics. I will make sure to keep you informed about the process as the clinics, physicians and providers are vital to our continued success.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

The OMC Public Relations Department brought home a second place award in the category of Special Marketing or Public Relations Project for its 2016 OMC Superhero Fun Run advertising campaign. The campaign included printed and electronic materials such as ads, Facebook posts, and news releases about the event.

OMC earned a second place award in the category of Special Purpose Publication for the “Hey Girl! Keep Calm and Have a Mammogram” brochure.

OMC earned a third place award in the category of Annual Reports for the 2015 OMC Annual Report.

The awards were presented at the MAHPRM Sum-mer Forum in June. A statewide panel of public relations and marketing professionals judged the entries in this year’s competition.

“We’re honored that the work of Ozarks Medical Center has been selected to receive this statewide recognition,” said Tom Keller, OMC President and CEO. “These awards highlight our efforts to keep the community informed and up-to-date about the organization and our services.”

The awards competition was established by MAH-PRM in 1981 and is the only Missouri competi-tion dedicated to hospital and health care public relations and communications efforts.

Letter from Ward FranzI want to take a moment to express to everyone how much I have enjoyed being a part of the OMC family. I am very excited about what the future holds both for myself and for Ozarks Medical Center. Even though I will still be around, I will still miss the many friendships I have made over the years here. The Foundation will always be very important to me, so don’t think you are getting off the hook on donating to it. Seri-ously, I am very proud of you for all your support to help the Foundation and it wouldn’t be where it is today without your support, whether it was, finances, time, or thrift store donations. With the future plans for improving the facili-ties we all need to pitch in now more than ever. I can’t put into words just how important OMC and the OMC family is to West Plains and the sur-rounding area. While joining the Lt. Governor’s office is a big step for me and my family, I know my time with OMC has helped prepare me to help me face the challenges ahead. So, in closing, I want to say I love you all and look forward to many visits in the future.

Stay Classy OMC,Ward Franz, Executive DirectorOMC Foundation
