Issue: 28 Date: Monday September 2 2019
Dear Parents & Families, Thank you to all the ‘dads’ who
attended our Father’s Day Breakfast last Friday. We had a fantastic turnout to the breakfast and it was great to see so many ‘dads’ make the time to come along to be there with their children. Many thanks also to our P & F for organising and running the Father’s Day Stall on Friday. INDOOR SOCCER TOURNAMENTS
Congratulations to our Year 5/6 teams who performed exceptionally well last Friday. In a very tough competition on the Boys side of the tournament, our team showed great teamwork, skill, effort and finesse throughout the day to finish 1st. Our Girls team also worked very well as a team throughout the tournament, both offensively and defensively, and despite losing a player early on in the day, they were still able to also finish 1st, making it a ‘threepeat’ of Reservoir Cups for our Year 5/6 Girls Team. Well done to both teams who represented OLW with great pride and enthusiasm and thanks to all the parents who attended and supported us!
Our Year 3/4 teams were selected last week, with permission forms due back this Wednesday. These teams have also been training hard to develop their skills and teamwork and we wish our Year 3/4 teams the best of luck on Friday! EDUCATION BOARD MEETING
Our next Education Board Meeting is this Wednesday September 11 at 7.00pm. Our Ed Board will spend a little time working with our 2020 Families as part of our review of our school marketing and reputation building process. Minutes and Agenda will be distributed through our school app this week. PREP 2020 INFORMATION NIGHT
A Prep 2020 Information Night for families who have accepted a position for next year will be held on Wednesday September 11. Uniform fitting is available from 6.00pm, with both students and parents attending the Information Session

CAREMONKEY All families would have received a Care Monkey form last week to update our school information and to be ready to move to online permission forms in Term 4. We still have some outstanding forms so please ensure that the form is returned to the school a.s.a.p. PARENT – TEACHER INTERVIEWS
