Dreaming is one of the most wonderful gifts God has given us. Dreaming is one of the things that make us truly human. When we dream we are able to look into the future and imagine something bigger than today, and then come back into the present and work to make that bigger future a reality. Our collaborative’s partnership with Dynamic Catholic is an attempt to help us to dream. We want people to dream for their own lives, for the lives of their families, and for the life of our parish communities. I hope and pray that we can then work to make those dreams a reality for all of us.
Near the front doors of both churches we have established “Dream Centers”. At Saint Joseph you will see an antique door mounted to the wall near the Confession Room. At Saint Mary, as you come in the front door, you will see a beautiful stained glass window mounted on the wall near the door to the Choir loft. In front of each there will be a table with a number of items. There will be Dream Journals for you to take; you will also find post it notes for you to write some of your dreams on. You can stick them to the door or the
Plexiglas covering the stained glass; There will also be material to help you begin to think of, and write down some of your own dreams.
You will be hearing more about the Dream Centers in the near future. On Ash Wednesday we will be handing out Dream Journals to everyone who comes to begin their Lenten journey with the reception of ashes. Also during Lent, to help this process of dreaming, we will be offering a book study of “Rediscover the Saints”, the book that was handed out on Christmas. You can come to one or all of the book study sessions which will be held on Sunday mornings following the 10:30 Mass at Parish Hall in Kingston.
I invite you to dream with us. Place your dreams on the “door to your future” or on the “window to your dreams”. With God’s help we can make the bigger things that imagine our reality today.
God Bless,
Fr. Jack

We have provided Cardinal Sean with a draft of our Goal Areas for our Pastoral Plan…these will provide the building blocks for how our 3 Year Collaborative Pastoral Plan will fully implement and become our Vision Statement.
1. Vocations—how can we better foster and encourage vocations to the priesthood.
2. The Sunday Experience—how can we enrich our Sunday Mass experience for all.
3. Life-long Faith Formation—how can we provide opportunities for faith enrichment at all stages and ages.
4. Family Life—how, through our sacramental lives, we can strengthen marriages and families.
5. Charitable Works—how can we grow to continue to meet the needs of our communities, while providing opportunities for those who seek to give back.
IF YOU HAVE IDEAS ON HOW TO MEET THESE GOALS...PLEASE SHARE THEM WITH THE PLAN WRITING TEAM!
