Snow Removal Policy
Three levels of response Initial snowfall treatment begins when snow has a depth of two incheswith additional accumulation expected. This response focuses onclearing and maintaining major streets, followed by business andcommercial collector roadways.The second level of snow removal begins when snow reaches adepth of four inches. Cul-de-sac drivers begin plowing operationswith smaller trucks by supporting the level one response, thenmoving into residential streets and cul-de-sacs. A third level of response begins when snow accumulates sixinches with additional accumulation expected. During thisresponse level all qualified City employee operators work 12-hourshifts as part of a 24-hour daily snow removal effort.
