God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though its waters roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with its swelling. – Psalm 46:1-3 I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will also lead him, and restore comforts unto him and to his mourners. – Isaiah 57:18 The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and great in mercy. – Psalm 145:8 You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of deliverance. God sets the solitary in families; he brings out those who are bound into prosperity; but the rebellious dwell in a dry land. – Psalm 68:6 Who comforts us in all our tribulation that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds through Christ. – 2 Corinthians 1:4-5 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. – Psalm 23:4 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? – Romans 8:31 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. – Romans 8:28

Hope Scriptures These hopeful verses will encourage and comfort you.

But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. – Isaiah 40:31 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. – Isaiah 43:19 Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved. – Ephesians 1:4-6 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. God’s Compassion These verses offer you God’s compassionate and unconditional love.

And forgive thy people that have sinned against thee, and all their transgressions wherein they have transgressed against thee, and give them compassion before them who carried them captive, that they may have compassion on them. – 1 Kings 8:50 Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” – Acts 3:6 It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul who seeks him. – Lamentations 3:22-25 He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: the LORD is gracious and full of compassion. – Psalm 111:4 As a father pities his children, So the Lord pities those who fear Him. – Psalm 103:13 But You, O Lord, are a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth. – Psalm 86:15 Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness; He is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous. – Psalm 112:4 The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and in great mercy. – Psalm 145:8 And when Jesus went out He saw a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick. – Matthew 14:14 Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, just as I had pity on you? – Matthew 18:33
