The “Carnaval” is Firing Up! Come and visit the biggest winter carnival in the

world in the heart of Old Quebec. The snow bath, night parades, slide runs,

snow sculptures, dogsled race and dogsled rides, Ice Palace and ice skating

are among many activities offered during “Carnaval de Quebec!” And, the

best part, the heart of the “Carnaval” is just outside our hotel! In addition

to enjoying the “Carnaval” activities, there will be time for a tour of the

countryside and a stop at the Hotel de

Glace, the Ice Hotel. We have arranged a

tour of this amazing hotel...and, if you

wish, there will even be time to enjoy a

drink from an ice glass...sitting in an ice

chair at an ice table!

From the pristine glory of the Adirondacks, we travel through some

breath-taking “snow-scapes” along the St. Lawrence River to the French city

of Quebec...our home for the next 3 nights. We will be there the second

week of their “Winter Carnaval” and we’ll be

staying at Loew’s Le Concorde Hotel. Situated on the highest point in Quebec

City just outside the entrance of the old walled city, our hotel offers majestic

views of the St. Lawrence River, Old Quebec and the Plains of Abraham. Its

location on the Grande Allee is central to many sights, shops, dining and

museums and it is the hotel closest to the “Carnaval” events. And, it’s revolving

restaurant, L’Astral, will be the perfect place to not only enjoy a dining

experience, but also to observe the lights of the city and the Carnaval that

illuminate the night sky of Quebec!

USA, spending the night in Saratoga and enjoying the uniqueness

of Longfellows!. We have also found a place for snowshoeing—

for beginners, of course! Or you may want to just do a little

shopping in downtown Saratoga Springs! And, the highlight of

our stay in Saratoga Springs will be our sleigh ride!
