OHIO VALLEYATHLETIC CONFERENCE
CHAMPIONSHIPS1943 - 2009
Compiled by:Thomas E. Rataiczak, Executive Secretary/Treasurer
UPDATED: July 30, 2009
INTRODUCTION
What? Me? Make a mistake? You betcha! That’s why this notebook has been created.I have found, over years of researching records and scores, that the easiest way to find mistakesis to put something into print. People don’t hesitate to write, call, stop you on the street, FAX, e-mail, or utilize any other means of communication to point out your error.
So BEFORE you have that opportunity, let me assure you, there are errors in this book. That’s where you come in. This book isn’t free. It comes with a price: accuracy. Some willlook over a particular sport; some will look over a particular year; some will look over the entirebook.
Unfortunately, records haven’t been kept as accurately over the past 66 years as I wishedthey would have been. So I’m asking for your help. I need names of coaches, missing schools, classifications. Anything you can supply. Just one name makes this a little more accurate.
Please look around your schools, your yearbooks, your newsrooms, your scrapbooks, and see if you can help. If you find something, please notify me at the numbers below. This isthe greatest Conference in the United States. It’s got the greatest history, the longest existence. It’s your Conference. Please help.
