We certainly hope 4-H has played a role in preparing you for what lies ahead. Good luck in the next portion of your life’s journey! JUNIOR FAIR BOARD A BIG thanks to our 2016 Jr Fair Board members, who logged nearly 700 hours during this year’s Perry County Fair! Jr Fair Board members oversee the Jr Fair Headquarters, assist with Jr Fair livestock shows, sort and organize ribbons & trophies, and plan & conduct various events for Jr Fair exhibitors during fair week!

The opportunity to apply as a Jr Fair Board member is open to ANY Jr Fair exhibitor who will be 14+ as of January 1, 2017. Applications will be sent to all upcoming age-eligible 4-H members in September, with interviews later this fall. We look forward to seeing lots of great candidates! Jr Fair Board meetings are held monthly, prior to Sr Fair Board meetings at the fairgrounds. *Completing applications and participating in interviews are GREAT practice for the future!

OHIO 4-H TLC - TEEN LEADERSHIP COUNCIL The Ohio 4-H Teen Leadership Council (TLC) is a statewide group of 4-H teens and young 4-H alumni that provides a youth stakeholder perspective in the planning, implementa-tion, and evaluation of Ohio 4-H programming. In this pro-cess, council members develop knowledge, skills, attitudes, and aspirations needed for future success. Council mem-bers share advice and recommendations to 4-H profession-als in order to improve, strengthen, and expand the Ohio 4-H program. Members also make recommendations re-garding opportunities for Ohio 4-H teen programming. They serve as a sounding board for Ohio 4-H program direction.

LIVESTOCK SALE COMMITTEE $CHOLARSHIP$

The Livestock Sale Committee will continue to offer scholarships for market livestock exhibitors who are en-rolled in college this fall. To be eligible, youth must have exhibited a market project animal in 2016 and 2015, have graduated high school and be enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution. $5000 will be equal-ly divided amongst all applicants, with a maximum of $300 for any individual scholarship. Applications are

available from the Extension Office, any FFA instructor, and online at www.perry.osu.edu. Applications are due to the Extension Office no later than January 1, 2017.
